Yep still holding up without dc or anything.

HARD RESET guys, insert the pin into the reset hole and wait till the lights go off. Not restart from the page.

After reset, reconfigure using the wizard.

a BIG THANKS to bro fooken!!! It work to me also, now all devices are CONNECTED!!! rclxms.gif

Hi all, i came from Bukit Serdang and i am experiencing the same problem with your guy that my desktop and laptop could not connect to thomson but my smart phone able to. From this thread, i found out that i might be able to solve my problem by hard reset the router.

The problem now is i am tenant of my unit and the internet service was installed by owner and she is not so sure about the username/password and etc.

My concerns:
1) Any extra informations are needed if i would like to re-configure the Thomson router? In addition of username and password?
2) How i can get the username/password info?

Thanks and looking forward for your guy's reply.

Sure you still have to setup your extreme, just like you setup previous Internet setup...
If i no mistake, At setup wizard, 1 of the section, Choose 'bridge' instead of 'DHCP & NAT', otherwise it will detect 2 NAT.

Actually, after you hard reset, the information already filled as default by maxis, just click on 'next'
what you need to fill is
example:

1)username: 12345@home.maxis.com.my
Password : 12345(+1)
*If you are public ip, pls change to public.maxis instead of home.maxis

2)CHOOSE: TM

3) VOIP:

URI : 0387654321
username : 0387654321
password : 0387654321(+1)

4) Skip hot spot : UNTICK

Still working fine after ur hard reset?

Added on September 23, 2012, 2:29 amSince this friday nite, i thought someone had hacked my router and block my ip for internet connection to my laptops. My wife scold me what have i done? She says maybe i reset the router few time then jammed. I was like "ok".

Calling stupid maxis maintanance dept regarding this, they never advise me on the hard reset thing or its a malfunction from their site. Just asking me to wait for their call from tech dept.
*
Not hard to reset. You may call their support to guide you on the setup if you're not sure bout the setting.

hard reset the thomson router only enable u to surf with only 1 pc or smartphone at one time. U need to assign in the ip address with different id to other pc or smartphone if u want to surf simultaneously.

the maxis have confirm the problem is at their network and server site due to ip issue.

The above is only a temporary solution.

I see you all are still busy with the thomson wifi router.

really, maxis should dump their contract with thomson and provide a better one.
this is really making maxis's name bad.

me for one will never ever have anything to do with maxis again.

good luck guys.

this particular one is a network issue as conveyed by peri peri. i too faced it and spoke to their engineers....it was a broadcast storm in the network.

to me it looks like maxis network is giving the thomson a bad name... public ip issue, network latency, slow browsing....now this dhcp ip issue. they have a lot to iron out in the network i guess.

yup, i believe maxis throttle torrent.
I voiced my concern to them earlier when rapidshare cannot complete downloads....they do not deny it.
just copy and paste the FUP to me.

if you open xunlei and immediately cannot surf,
it is due to maxis blocking some ports.

I cannot brain this, why need to throttle?
my point is this
1) Iniatially there is a lot of things to download, prawn, movies etc
2) then realise there is too much media in the hdd havent watch yet
3) hdd full need to buy new one.
4) eventually almost everyone will have less downloading.

btw,
I have watched 75 episode of tvb, 12 japanese av, 78 box-office movies, 345 youtubes, 32 blueray movies
and i havent slept for 2 weeks edi.
my point.

well, an actual network problem, but users might think it's the router unstable. They'll think it's overheating, and run off to lowyat to get usb fan... biggrin.gif

to be fair, the thomson product has it's issues too albeit a little minor. The wifi signal coverage probably leaves much to be desired for certain user. For me it's OK, i don't have too big of a house, so it's adequate.
An the GUI seems to have little features to play around with. Though I think this more of Maxis control, since I notice the command line is pretty customizable and have quite some features.

Other than that, i find it pretty stable for my extensive thrashing. Might not work for some users. I think it's more of a product limitation.

Maxis should give an alternative for users to choose, at least 2 different routers. Maxis should take the initiative, since there's no off the shelf router with voice ATA port. Usually ISP grade routers only have this kind function. Which explains why you can't get thomson off the shelf.

To public IP users here: Is the frequent disconnection / DNS-time-out error solved or still persists? Was told that it should be fixed on TM's side about two weeks ago, but I still haven't change back to public IP, was worrying that this troubling issue hasn't been fixed and continues to haunt me sweat.gif
