Hi there.

Your package is 10 Mega bits per second. Your download was 1 Mega Byte per second.

10 Mega bits per second is around 1.25 Mega Bytes per second. So your 1 Mega Byte per second is very optimal already.

Thanks for your clarification..

Hi all, im also having the issue of slow loading of webpage and sometimes the page just stall and wouldnt load anymore, hence requiring me to hit the reload button. Im sure alot of other users here experienced this and i tried using a laptop cooler on my router but theres no improvement. Maybe we should collectively escalate this matter to maxis so that they will atleast make an effort to try address this issue? What say you?

Lte theoretical speed can hit 100mbps doesn't mean they will give you that speed. Ftth can carry speed up to 100terabits per second doesn't mean they deliver all to you. International pipe mahal

7)Not sure what does this do, for ping, no packet loss.

*
1) I think Thomson have build in Intrusion Detection System (IDS), that why the log show someone try to PING to your unreachable port... they have anti port scanning too

2) 3) 4) Seem you have normal connection, especially your VoIP call is good, normally in digital data transmission if got problem it will cause voice lag or voice breaking up or line disconnect... (normally happen to international call)

5) No comment for this...

6) Your local speed is perfect

7) Your international connection seem fine too, if no packet loss, that mean it is good
Ping is to show if your connection got Long Relay and Lost of Packet
Tracert is to know where your connection lost in which server, eg packet lost (*) on Thomsan router or Maxis server or International Server.
Next time try to ping -t 8.8.8.8 for 1minute, then we will see a more consistent result

Hi guys. Just wanna ask.
Will they drill a hole into my house wall to install the ftth? Just that I dont want to alter my house in any way just for the sake of fast internet..
*
For standard installation, Yes/No... Minimal drilling for landed property

For non-standard installation, you need to pay for it (but the price is nego).
Eg: Cable over the ceiling, roof, etc

Thx for the feedback, but im a newbie in networking therefore i couldnt comment on all these technical stuff but could only provide personal experience on what im facing. Anyway i tried pinging 8.8.8.8 for a min and the results are quite good with only 1% loss. Btw, can i know if the situation stated in (1) normal?

Yes situation for (1) is normal, someone trying to id u before hack u brows.gif serious! and this is normal.

and i just saw your update ping, u have 59% ping lost for 100packet... this is huge problem
try move your laptop nearer to your wifi (3 meter will be perfect), not too near or far
and ping for 1minute again

LOL.. then im glad thomson has this firewall thing sweat.gif

But the updated ping with 59% loss is when i ping the 2nd hop. What does the 2nd hop mean or do? So if this is the case, normally what causes it to have so much loss? Sry dude.. im throwing tons of questions.
