Do you guy notice? When torrenting, yes it could hit over 1.+mb per sec, but it will drop back to 600 and slowly regain to 1.+mb. Any idea? Or just me.
*
aye... isn't torrent depends on seeders..? more seeders more speed.. if suddenly your highest seeder turn off surely you download speed will drop.... i think that is common sense ?

Hi all, any recommendation for wireless adapter for connection to this maxis fiber home? My room signal is a bit weak, actually.
'
Is there any specification for the adapter to function well for connection? Like "High gain"?

Mind to share what type of wireless adapter are you guy using?

Thanks in advance.

Most likely it's your electrical socket that fried your equipment. So don't think fibre internet won't fry your system. It still needs to run on electricity,

bro

i already stated if i remove all electrical plug but the fiber optic cable remain since can't remove, can still fry or not

There are few ways to go around it. The easiest are, If your wifi devices are window pc or laptop, just use those china made high gain wificity USB adapters with long antennal. For your iOS or android mobile devices, install a wifi router and set it to bridge mode of repeater mode and place it at weak signal area. If your wifi router signal can cover the whole house, just set it to AP mode and connect LAN to LAN with the Thomson router.

if your complaint is just the wifi, dont have to replace the thompson router, just get yourself another wireless router and set is as wireless REPEATER

and yes, the WiFi is crappy even with BX firmware

Im not sure about other brand, but Im currently using Belkin PlayMax router (gigabit+WirelessN) router

it cost slightly expensive but comes with 3 yr warranty now if im not mistaken (even covered lightning strike);

Mine has been replaced 3 times with hassle free replacement ( 2 time lightning strike causing gigabit ports unusable, and yesterday the router just went offline for no apparent reason), my router comes with lifetime warranty, now they revised to 3 yr only

So far am happy with their after sales support, and is flashable to DD-WRT too

My installation date is this saturday. I was informed of the date through the phone a month ago. Reading through the thread, by right the CS should have contacted me by now to reaffirm the installation date and give me my phone no. rite?? Should i be worried that i am yet to receive the call.

yeap, a cheaper option, get your self those high gain/power AP (not router) and connect to the thomson LAN port. I've seen some high gain AP for RM50 in sri comp lowyat, not sure how they perform though.

I switched from Thompson to Asus RT-N13U B1 because the problem was the same with both routers. So I don't think this is down to the router or firmware. Btw, I'm using a DD-WRT firmware.
*
Im having the same issue, some pages requires a few try/refresh to load.
Using back the same router before i used maxis hsbb.
router is linksys wrt54g / default firmware
