Maxis FTTH installation at my double storey terrace house went through successfully, Maxis and TM installation team arrived half an hour earlier than planned rclxms.gif

Chronology of important date:
June 28, 2012: Register of interest at Maxis website
July 2, 2012: Registration and verification of the disabled in the KLCC Maxis Centre
July 4, 2012: Received call from Maxis for installation date arrangement, unfortunately the installation date on July 12 (it's my working day). Installation date was rescheduled on July 14 (Saturday)
July 10, 2012: Received confirmation call from Maxis about installation
July 12, 2012: Installation scheduled at 2:30pm but the installation team came at 2:00pm and complete the installation within half an hour (because I'm already existing Unifi VIP5 customer)

Below is the speedtest comparison between my existing Unifi VIP5 and new Maxis FTTH 10Mbps.

can you explain abit between homeplug and wireless repeater ? abit confused  rclxub.gif

Before you buy the expensive homeplug, you may want to consider this alternative solution with zero cost.
I solved the weak wifi signal problem with my redundant wifi router Linksys WRT54G previously used for Streamyx.
I just changed the Wireless setting of Linksys to AP mode and plug it LAN to LAN to Thomson.
Now I have 2 SSIDs, one from Linksys (stronger) and another from Thomson (weaker).
Speed test done indicated no different in speed and latency.
Thomson router performance dropped when too many wifi devices logged in at the same time so I hope Linksys can share the load and solve this problem too.

If want full signal even 2 houses away, buy this high gained USB Wifi adapter (if you are using PC or laptop).
I got one extra unit (in sealed box) to let go for RM50.

Ping time lose is manageable as long as link quality is good

Interesting, your upload and download speed seems good even though the wifi is just 1 bar. What phone/tablet is this?
