Registered online 10+pm on last day of RM118 offer, got a call 3 days later, submitted everything online, installation 6 August    Response must have been overwhelming haha...

i don't think u quite understand the concept of homeplug which goes through the powerline.
Maybe you can go ask the retail shop on what it can do for u.

Before you buy the expensive homeplug, you may want to consider this alternative solution with zero cost.
I solved the weak wifi signal problem with my redundant wifi router Linksys WRT54G previously used for Streamyx.
I just changed the Wireless setting of Linksys to AP mode and plug it LAN to LAN to Thomson.
Now I have 2 SSIDs, one from Linksys (stronger) and another from Thomson (weaker).
Speed test done indicated no different in speed and latency.
Thomson router performance dropped when too many wifi devices logged in at the same time so I hope Linksys can share the load and solve this problem too.


If want full signal even 2 houses away, buy this high gained USB Wifi adapter (if you are using PC or laptop).
I got one extra unit (in sealed box) to let go for RM50. 

Just plug high gained USB Wifi adapter into the thomson router? Need any configuration?

I sometimes use portable TP-Link TL-WR702N Nano router to create a bridge extension of Wifi signal at weak signal area. In bridge mode, your will have second SSID broadcasted by TP-Link and this is good for visiting guest. (At least my Thomson router gateway is protected from unauthorized log in)
The Nano router when in bridge mode is portable and it can easily plugged to any power point or portable USB battery bank.     

no.. what i mean is i can login using Administrator as username and access key behind the thomson router as password before i did the reset.  Administrator account got extra setting options compare to normal user account.

backup and restore page need administrator login.. normal MaxisBB account wont have this feature.. i have done backup configuration before reset..

after reset i cant login into administrator account anymore.. password incorrect.. tried serial number also but no luck

Anyone here applied the RM118 package on the last day of the offer?
So far I haven't receive any news from them.

Craps!!!! My Internet down for 24hrs. Can u believe it? The internet light is OFF!! I try disconnect and connect in .254, it's give me this error "Concentrator not reachable"!! I called customer service but no hell ppl pick up!!! Wtf!!!

I solve this "concentrator not reachable"
by changing the TM moderm from Lan 1 to Lan 2, problem solved

The Thomson is quite full of features... possibly Maxis Engineer doesn't know how to optimise it.

My LAN port default is port 2. I change all over and try connect still can't.

Down time is a matter but the big problem is.. The customer service hot line super HOt.. It's terrible than TM.. At least TM got ppl pick up.. But this maxis, sweat... Keep listen to song. Fxxk!

Yeah. It's already stated for the reschedule if within 3 days of installation day you change, charge RM200.

nothing another RJ45 cable can't solve  only the BTU and ONT needs to stay where they are

I don't get why people still wan home plug, currently there's so many reliable multi function routers which can perform better that is cheaper than this overprice home plug that I ve read had many problem overheat and does not last long issues.
