Actually, my main upgrade points from D700 to D800 would be the 100% VF and new AF module which is supposedly better than D700's.
*
The viewfinder seems brighter than the D700. AF focusing is better too. Even in very dim light (at least you need to find something with a little contrast), I find it still can focus but there's still hits and misses.

unsure.gif anyone upgrade from d700 to D800 because D800 have 100% viewfinder?
*
The D300/D300s has 100% viewfinder, 0.94 magnification, i use a moded DK-17M to make the magnification close to 100%....... biggrin.gif

there are ways to to make your D700 viewfinder to almost 100%........just google it

Did anyone of you went for Bersih 3.0 and document the event with the dark force (Nikon)? I have.

Even met up with DAP Superman Hew Kuan Yau!

using magnifier won't make your viewfinder 100% if it wasn't 100% at the first place
I have DK-17M on my D700 too, it just enlarges the viewfinder's image, that's all.

That would be the Think Tank Sling-o-matic 20. Great bag for shooting on the go, better than a messenger bag cause it won't swing all over the place, but has the capacity of a backpack without having to put down your bag and unload. Best bit is you can just swing it to the front like I did in the pic, then swap lenses, get gear or whatever. icon_rolleyes.gif

that's quite a hefty gear that you are going for considering you said you can't pay the extra 1k/750 for the upgrade since you dun make money from the gears you buy.. rclxub.gif there's just too much that i cannot understand i guess.. i think i should learn more.. sad.gif

i was only interested in the voigtlander only (RM1760), the 35mm i juz asked for fun...

i juz stating the prices of the 20mm + 35mm combo for comparison wif the 14-24 smile.gif

wif 4.8k.. enough for me to buy the 16-35mm f4 + 50mm 1.8g ady...

i am considering the 50mm1.8g becoz it is lower in price... later if i need the extra 2/3 stop.. then only think about spending that extra 1k wink.gif

if i mostly shoot at f2.8 for the 50mm... i think the 1.8g is good enough smile.gif

plus for the price for a 50mm 1.4g.. can get a 85mm 1.8g... laugh.gif
