so i heard D600 will be dont have AF motor....hmmm FX without AF motor  shocking.gif
possibru?

maybe...
since last time D800 in nikon rumor and when they said it is 36mp and almost everyone didn't believe it XD

Nikon wanna sell more of their AF-S FX lens.. don wan ppl buy new FX body then go buy 2nd hand lenses tongue.gif

if the RRP is USD1500, wouldn't it eat into the market share for D300s (RRP USD1699) + successors?

i am still sticking with my prediction of USD2000 tongue.gif if i am wrong, then i will have money for one more lens laugh.gif

Should be USD 2k, and I highly doubt removal of the AF motor. Just upselling the sensor (see sony A850) didn't exactly get them anywhere, so the associated features should at least be at D7000 level. Even reusing the 1005 pixel metering sensor I don't care, cause the damn thing was accurate to start biggrin.gif

would be a surprise move by Nikon. And I hope with the increase of FX shooters those expensive FX lens prices will start to come down. =)

nikon 85mm got larger working distance, but its DX only lens.
both are just as sharp.
so its your choice.

where got hard to decide?
wallet already says tamron is better choice.

but if u really think ur going to stick with DX lenses, u should also look at the tamron 60mm f/2.0.
basically same working distance as the 90mm, since the 60mm doesnt extend.
and it can obviously also be used as an alternative to a 50mm 1.8.

sorry for the noob question.
can i know what is the working distance u referring to? it is the "Minimum Focus Distance"?

wont be the 60mm is not enough power for really close up picture?

What do u plan to use it for? I hv tamron sp af 90 on my d3100. It is very sharp for macro but the AF motor inside is not as fast as those prime lens or any nikkor lenses la. You can feel it is a bit slower. tongue.gif

I dunno much about the 85mm micro though ..would love to test it one day... or I might as well fund for upgrade to 105mm micro in the future ..hehehe. (evil laugh)

working distance is from the front of the lens to subject at 1:1.
iirc both tamron 60mm and 90mm are about 10cm, its cos the 90mm extends out so robbing some distance.

the nikon 85mm is about 14-15cm as it doesnt extend.

more like D800's work suitable for commercial, fashion, studio photography
36mp to shoot normal photo ? that'd be pain in da ass compared to D700.

I did exactly that. No regret coughing up the extra dough. The astounding level of details is simply spectacular.
