I wanna buy the laptop @ RM 3xxx ++

but my credit limit just RM 3k, i already call them give temporary increase the credit limit, but not successful, anyone know how to make it successful or have another way so i can purchases that laptop by using credit card? because i planning to do installment
*
Not sure if this applies to your bank or installment method but what I did to buy something that is beyond my available credit limit is to overpay to the card that I used.

For example, if your CL is RM4000 (and available balance is RM4000 since you have no outstanding) and you want to buy a laptop that is worth RM5000... you bank in RM1000 to that credit card account. Technically your CL is still RM4000, but your available balance will be RM5000.

I swiped AUD$576 for a booking and later it was cancelled after 2 days and I got a refund. However, the refund amount is not the same. Take note that there was a double booking made by the merchant and was cancelled instantly. See picture. My question is, is the difference in amount is due to currency exchange, or there is a certain fee taken by the merchant? Since the amount AUD$576 is the same under the foreign currency credit and debit, I suspect it is due to the currency exchange? Thanks

it's a normal buy and sell transaction. Paying in forex always cost more than getting forex. (look at forex rates)

since it is a reversal, you contact your bank whether they will refund the difference (because no actual money changed hands). I had 2 cases, and the banks did refund without issue.

Note: you must have a transaction for AUD X and a then a refund/reversal for the same AUD X amount so that the CS can see it right away

Last month, I had to pay my CC bills one day after the Due Date

No Retail Interest Charged
UOB, SCB

Retail Interest Charged
HLB

So be careful with HLB CC and make sure you pay before or on the Due Date.
I've asked for waiver from their CS.... and they told me to pay the Interest first, wait to be creditted in the next statement doh.gif doh.gif vmad.gif mad.gif

I thought the current policy is; you will only be charged interest if you missed the due date by 2 days? Wasn't this implemented by BNM?

The latest ABM policy is no late fees if payment received/clears after 3 days from due date, which does not necessarily mean the same as no interest charged. As per the example, different banks interpreted the policy differently. Basically if you are not sure, just pay before the due date.

Not sure hence the question.
As shown by charymsylyn, it turns out to be a no late payment fees instead of no interest.

Hello, few days I ago I applied for citibank clear card.. the idea to apply citibank clear card is due to low annual fee and I want to do Balance Transfer.

Later, CS called and forward all the document.. I filled in and submit. Later I notice the BT rate is 9.9%. I'm careless since I did not read it carefully. CS said she will submit my application by tomorrow morning.

Is it wise for me to cancel or just keep it? Please advice wink.gif

It is still better than 18% p.a. It is really up to you to decide ... if you found something better then you may pursue it.
Please note that once you take Citibank BT ... you might as well keep the card in the safe until you clear your BT.

Learn from your mistakes - asking for quick rescue will not help you much in life.. That's the best advise we can give you.
