i use amex as much as possible due to 2.5% rebate

i use citi pump petrol 5% rebate

i use HLB essential for 1% rebate for everything else

hsbc for 0.5% which i think useless for me except for on going promo but wait 3% for groceries ^^

GSC/TGV ? clear card do it all buy 1 free 1, even maxis already give buy 1 free 1 for quite some time

coffee bean? clear card too

i wan some card from other bank....holding 4 cards GST gonna kill me but the rebate i getting quite worth it

Before 27th March 2012, consider as Retail Transaction.
After 27th March 2012, consider as Cash Advance.

Problem is KittyZhang swipe on 26th March... So it was a 50/50 chance going either way.

Recently I made a purchase at Birkenstock BV.
When I gave the cashier my AMEX card, she took it, paused for a bit and asked me "Sir do you have visa or master, we prefer visa master". I was a bit surprised because I don't think it is nice to talk like that to a customer. I replied "I want to use AMEX" and she just slot in the card without saying anything else.
I've never experienced something like this before, even at shops that clearly state "we prefer VISA/MC".

need some opinion/feedback of this scenario is possible:

1. i have a ambank carz gold visa card with two active EPP.
2. plan to upgrade to plat/ get a better card type with the same bank (ambank)
3. transfer the two active EPP to new card
4. cancel the old card



p.s. visited the branch but the CS seems to be in doubt and ask me to request the application first and see what the card dept says. got the call from card dept, and they ask me to apply for the new card 1st (upgrade not possible due to the plat card is mastercard) then only call CS to ask for the transfer of EPP. 

anyone successfully did the above?
