Get the application form.
Supplementary card application will require the principle to also sign in the application form.

You need to raise a dispute with the bank. (To all noobs : dispute Dispute refers to a process and not a verb. Don't go quarreling with the bank)
Call the bank and you'll be asked to fill in a form along to provide with whatever evidence. (Note : Doesn't mean you have a police report, you are scot free) Bank will conduct their own internal investigation and this may take up to 3-4 months. If you are found not liable for the transaction (Remember this process is not automatic nor a police report is a ticket), the bank will execute "credit" / reversal for the transaction. No such thing as canceling the transaction.

Go to Bank Negara to print out your CCRIS report. Maybe you have loans that you don't know of?

Yes, you need to pay the $50 GST of the Card (if Approve) because it's already been Issued to You... nod.gif
If Not U  maybe Blacklisted by bank for Not Paying GST... sweat.gif

If you didn't activate the card, I think you can argue to not pay GST.

A simple analogy. You ordered a food. Regardless whether it is consumed or not, you have to pay the bill.

If you have no intention to use the card then don't apply in the first place. Don't come here and simply confuse people with what is not true - WORST cultivating and encouraging irresponsible behaviour among the Malaysian credit card holders.

And yes, I agree with the analogy given.

I just want to provide my view on the card activation. And not cultivate any irresponsibility behavior - I think you over-react on my response.

I agree with the analogy:

1) You ordered the food
2) Regardless whether it is consumed or not

But there are scenarios where bank provide credit card product for people that apply housing loan/car loan. As a customer, we have the right not activate the card if we think we don't want it.

In that case, please be specific next time as .the original poster definitely applied for the CC.

Anyway, for your info, cards like SCB will be charged with GST right away upon approval, even before activation.

To be honest, you been asking this question all over the forum. It could be because we have no experience of doing so, so no answer. Why dont you call up CS and ask instead? faster and accurate.

Banks DO NOT provide credit cards automatically with housing loan but the loan/bank officer have to seek your consent if credit card(s) can be issued to you. And if you did not read or blindly say yes and sign on whatever form ( or by teleconversation which is recorded), you may even get 2 credit cards giving same benefits! Bank staff have many monthly quota to meet and one of them is getting new applicants for credit cards.

To All who are thinking of "free" air tickets:

Click here to read my article Malaysia Airlines Enrich Miles 50% Sale - Great for My Maybank Visa Infinite Treats Points if you have not. With 50% sale, it may be worth while to convert our TP to Enrich Miles especially if you are earning 5XTP for every Ringgit spent.

Recently at Airport Lounge Thread I mentioned that I redeem my MBB VI TP for Enrich Miles (4500TP = 1000 Enrich Miles) and then I use the Enrich Miles from my Enrich Mile Account to get my daughter economy return ticket from Melbourne to KL and for myself 2 economy return air tickets from Kl to Melbourne. Yes, we can use our Enrich Miles to purchase air tickets for our loved ones.

Today, I once again redeem my MBB VI Treats Points for Enrich Miles as I wanted to reward my son with a business class ticket LA to KL as a graduation reward next May. For his internal US flight he can use his UA Milage points. However, this time I did not redeem the Enrich Miles into my Enrich Account but directly into my son's Enrich account smile.gif

So conclusion:

1. we can use our Enrich Miles to redeem ticket online for our loved one. If you do it by phone thru CS, very troublesome, need to go to MA counter and with letter somemore.
2. we can convert out MBB Treats Points to Enrich Miles credited into anyone's account thumbup.gif

p.s. Mods - can I start a Thread on Enrich Miles since we are issued an Enrich Card for our account and as one of the Admin label this section - Living on credit? Get the best bang for your buck!
