Join Malaysia polis then, as we always said Malaysia Polis not enuff cainis. You get more overall pay (basic + allowance + kopi) compare to Singapore. Rank is not matter as 5 bowl of abalone rice is easy to get and if can get higher rank, your rice bowl can be made of 24k gold... laugh.gif

Well, one reason is that corporate plans for iPhone are crazy cheap.

My company's iPhone4S plan is $38 a month for 500mins 500sms 12gb data, and the phone (16gb version) comes free. Contract 2 years = $38 x 24 = $912 total payment which is even less than the $948 you pay if you buy retail phone only.

Android phones don't have anywhere near that kind of subsidy.
*
Wah, that's dirt cheap...

In Malaysia, RM38 cant even grant you a nokia 3210 brick phone.
In Malaysia, RM88 can only enough for you to sign-up 1mbps Slowymx line.
In Singapore, S$88 can sign-up for 100mbps fibre-optics.

That's your company's CIS (Corp Individual Scheme). Pretty good as the monthly fee is the lowest of the 3 generic plans but the free minutes/data/handset price is from the mid-top plans.

My company's CIS deal is crap. Basically just a 10-20% discount on the monthly fees for any of the generic plans. For the $38 plan, the 16GB ipon is around $500 I think.

I need to renew my contract... and I'm going for BB Bold 9900 since I'll have company email on the phone as well.

err... you need to attend police academy to be a police, no? You sure you want to do that?

If you REALLY want to wear the uniform once in a while then try this "part time VSC"

"Senior Officers perform a minimum of 24 hours of duty per month while Police Officers (Junior) perform 16 hours.

VSC Officers receive an allowance of S$3.60 an hour by the Government, regardless of rank. "

I was considering to join VSC but don't know if they accept tattooed guy.

I have a SGS2 already. But for company emails, it's either a BB or ipon. Android has not penetrated the corporate email / intranet yet.

Hi all! I am glad i see this topic at last!

I am sure most of you posted in this topic are all currently or previously have worked in spore. I myself was perplexed as to how good and better the working environment in spore compared to Msia in terms of salary, bonus and not to say the currency exchange.

Well, to start off my question, Let me introduce my background. I am a soon to be graduated student from an IPTA, majoring in applied science( not an engineering degree though) .

Here are the questions which i like to know:

How do you guya apply jobs in spore ? by jobstreet ? or self approach to the company?

normally will spore company take in those graduates?

If i were to apply to MNC like nestle in spore, would it better if i approach and email the nestle company myself? or i have to apply thru jobstreet depending on the vacancy?

please shed some light. thanks

How do you guya apply jobs in spore ? by jobstreet ? or self approach to the company? Do both. There are also monster, jobsdb and lot more job recruitment sites

normally will spore company take in those graduates?  Depends on luck

If i were to apply to MNC like nestle in spore, would it better if i approach and email the nestle company myself? or i have to apply thru jobstreet depending on the vacancy? Just send in direct while spamming apply in job recruitment sites. You never know when there will be a sudden opening or a future opening which is not advertised yet.

The only way is continue trying. As a graduate it may be a bit more challenging but who knows, you can strike gold. Prepare your resume and read up on how to prepare a cover letter. That will help too.

Are these recruitment jobs listed on these sites targeted to Malaysians or those PRs or citizens?
