most of the time, if Msia increase the toll, SG will increase it to the same value as well. like the current rate.

causeway $1.20 = RM2.90
2nd link, $3.20= RM7.50

so if msia increase the rate to $6.20, i scare SG will charge the equivalent sum as well.
*
I think Sg will match whatever Malaysia is charging for the toll, which there are doing currently.

Of couse. You can do that. But you have to admit that mobility wise you are limited. I mean you know what I mean rite. I think people tend to be more warmhearted in My. Not saying that such ppl do not exist in Sg, but less. People are a little carefree over in KL. I agree that in Sg there are lots of things over. Definitely. But atmosphere wise, I dun think so.
Rite.

never hear of it. then again I've never deal with hiring firms. After a while in OnG, guess it's enough to know a few hiring managers to go by smile.gif

You know this likely wont happen in the service industry here since most of them are foreigners and they would rather bite the bullet and take the insults and what not from irate customers rather then lose their jobs and be sent back to their home country. This does not apply to singaporeans or malaysians since its much easier for them to get another job compared to the other FT's.
*
that's why a lot of service industries in Sg they employed non-english speaking employees. You can complaint/screw em' all day long but with little effect nod.gif

if it's not, then surely it'll be packed like public gym ? So it's either you want a cheaper packed gym or pricier non-crowded gym ?

1 more thing for sure, the KFC incident will not happen in SG at least.

How do NTUC know how much you earn after you sign policy?

If Canadian got cancer their gov cover all their medical expenses, is Singaporean worth as much?

I saw a few cancer cases, if you are poor you better think thice. The usual insurance coverage is less than a typical cancer bill. It is too expensive to be sick in SG.  Look at the $39milhome of a famous female doc, you could guess where major part of your insurance money goes.
*
true. Medical expenses are pretty high in Sg but they are also among the best and finest. The single most important thing to do is get medical insurance. Although I'm cover pretty well by my company (insanely high), I still buy an additional one for old age.

I hope he got enough insurance coverage.
*
that's why it's important to plan early. I just hope they would hang the prc.

QUOTE(L7Awesome @ Mar 29 2012, 12:30 PM)
Actually you will need to try it out yourself during the rush hour to determine what time is the best to leave house, etc.  For example in Woodlands causeway, sometimes it will take 50min and sometime, 20min would do.  So I would always estimate it to be an hour.  From there to the location of your parking, well, it will depend on the road condition. So if there is an accident, it will take a bit longer.  If your company work hour is rather flexible, then you can see what is the best time to go and get home.

Added on March 29, 2012, 12:31 pm
Also, do listen to the radio daily during the peak hour and see if the strech of road you are taking will have lots of accidents or not.  For me, the bottleneck is on the PIE/KJE exit and Mandai road exit.  Dunno why always got accident there.  Also, if it rains, maybe put another one hour to your journey?

Added on March 29, 2012, 12:35 pm

Also if you are going to stay in JB and drive in, make sure you have a contigency plan to factor in whatever EDL/Singapore will charge when it takes effect.
*
It's really hard to plan for such a long distance, lot's of unpredictable circumstances, especially accident and rain. Easily 50+km per trip and involved 2 expressway. Fastest route i think would be AYE --> KPE.
