QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Apr 16 2012, 12:58 PM) dont bet on that good a FC if u drive in city area often..in highway still ok, but depends on right foot again..i'm not getting that good FC mix 30% city 70% highway only can get about 9.7-9.8L/100KM..but i'm quite heavy footed and drive fast quite often..so to be expected..if FC really concern, just get vios or honda city... That bad? We be driving in the city most of the time including daily traffic jam to work every morning. Do you think is not advisie to get this car?

Like i said, if u want good FC forget about this car, it wont give u good FC in city for sure...if heavy traffic can go 10-11L/100KM for sure..dun dream on good FC with this C segment car, heavy weight. Vios will suit your needs more.

Depends on what you call "High fuel consumption"..... I'm driving 1.6 SX 6 Speed. I'm constantly stucked in traffic jam (staying in PJ and I always have to travel during peak hours), so I would say it's about 70% city driving 30% highway (go outstation on weekends) RM65 bucks petrol can go about 350-400KM (Sometimes I had to stop somewhere waiting for ppl so obviously it'll burn more fuel), which is about 10-11L/100KM.. To me, this is not high as I was driving a proton previously and the petrol consumption was higher than my Forte.. This post has been edited by derlin: Apr 16 2012, 02:01 PM

If drive 80km/hr, the fc can go up to 20++ to 25km/L......... So, it is depand on drive nad road condition. My normal daily drive ia long distanc, about 35km from home to office.

i think FC is very subjective one as it depend on driver heavy foot or not.. myself have try before : 110km/h on plus from KL to Johor : FC 6.8 - 7.xL / 100KM KL (non peak hour) 8.x - 9.x/ 100KM KL (peak hour) 9.x - 11.x/ 100KM
all base on manual calculate ps : 1.6SX 6 speed

yes it is very subjective but usual driving to work won't really yield good results unless you're travelling on highway with little to no traffic jams. compare this to driving a manual car or myvi, i think myvi will definitely get better FC due to better power to weight ratio of the car and engine as well.
i would not recommend someone forte if FC is really something important....

i suggest to be light on right foot, dont be so harsh on pressing the pedal. a little slower acceleration is always FC friendly.

I've gotten as low as 9L/100KM for city driving on my 2.0 before. But thats a one off... because I just love to hear the engine RAWRRRRRR
