I think my resume is definitely above average, have had multiple people from HR industry help me revise it plus I worked on some major client engagements (especially in China), so experience highlighted throughout the resume should also definitely be OK.

I did hear that if SG companies see a Malaysian address they usually just automatically send it to the delete pile? Is it worth camping it out in Singapore for a while (Say maybe a month) so that my address is local?
*
don't put Malaysia address, put "Relocating to Singapore" instead...

ya, my bike ok already, but another issue come. cannot ride that bike into SG anymore in 1-2 months time. and i dun wan to buy a SG bike at the moment so need to find out how long does it take to take bus. i will ride my bike and park it at kastam then take bus.

i start work at 10am wor. so i need to reach kastam at 8am? i work in Yio Chu Kang only. so still need to much time?

Lester. congrats on your PR. you are a role model to me now. I should write a book about you and distribute to all Malaysian new comers working in Sg. There is always hope, no matter what your qualification are. "If Lester can, so could you !"

seriously, have you consider upgrading yourself ? maybe getting a diploma then a degree ? I always have a bit of regret of not pursuing my study further. If i did, maybe I could get a better job, a more relaxing job, higher pay and have more time to do all the things I want. oh well.

congrats to you Lester! Now with a PR, interested to do a part-time diploma or degree just next to your company?
PR fee is lower and you can use part of your CPF money for your education smile.gif

Added:
Plus, you will have the time and chance to meet up with some gals while you study in SG.

I must say some (not all) SG gals are really nice (personality) and smart, reccomemded for wife to be. I am married for 7 years d... but not gatal smile.gif

SP (1 year 10 months) > EP (Sept until now) > PR (haven get yet, ngam ngam approved).

later that mercury will come and flame again... seriously, i find it nothing wrong to hold WP. and WP and SP makes no difference.

oh ya, for those who stay in JB, u guys can apply also. don't listen to those ppl saying stay in JB hard to get PR blah blah blah.

i got no paper qualification (STPM only), travel daily from JB to SG also can get mine approved on my 1st attempt. so if u think you need it, just apply.

less subsidy compare to 10 years ago but still cheaper than International student. Better chance to get Tuition Grant so it is about <$5k/year for a diploma course and ~$9k/year for a degree course depend on your major. Don't stop upgrading, SG is a good place to continue your study while keeping your full time jobs.
