QUOTE(Aloong @ Jan 12 2012, 10:14 AM)
Not necessary contract worker less job security than permanent.
Permanent staff = termination notice 1-3 months.
Contract staff = cannot terminate u during the contract period, unless they compensate u.

So in that sense contract staff give u more certainty.

Anyway, the idea of contract staff higher pay than permanent staff only works during good economic times, and maybe a thing in the past

Added on January 12, 2012, 10:22 am

Contract staff is on the chopping board due to their cost, not because they are contract staff. ANd cost is higher because they r contract staff. An irony

Added on January 12, 2012, 10:26 am

Interview that time after confirmed, increase $100, then when I'm confirmed, they say confirmed $25 only! Then always bias towards me even I'm the one working, lady boss always say I'm not working, instead the girl that keep SMS, get the credit, they say she is better than me. WTH

I do agree with mods that we off topic more often than not here in J&C

But if not here ... then where? Opening in /k/ would be a disaster because people (myself included) go to /k/ to be stupid and immature and to troll each other and post rageface meme's. And if you're there often you would know that every single singapore related thread eventually descends into "OMG ANOTHER SINGKAPO THREAD" spam.
