Just wanted to ask about some internet connection problem,  I sign up a phone package smartsurf 300 with 12gb monthly data plan. But one of the things make me very confuse is what mean by [Unlimited @ $30/mth (No Bill Shock) ] for their data plan isn't they mean I only can exceed the internet usage for SGD30, and after I reach the limit they will disconnect me? Coz i planning not to sign another contract for additional broadband for my laptop, if after 30sgd I still can continue using internet they I will just need to pay another 30 per month, rather that sign another contract to lock myself 2 years.

Erm, what I want to ask if, if I exceed the limit and reach the SGD30 dollar cap, can I still continue connect to internet? For example sgd 30 is for 800mb data, but what I wan is more that 800mb exceed, so can I still connect to internet if I using the data more that the cap 30 limit can give me (800mb). Or I will enjoy unlimited access when I pay the 30sgd.  Hope U can understand what I try to say.

Having said that, $100K (RM240K) is not much nowadays compare to property prices. A decent house in KL nowadays around RM600K or in SG is approx $350K for a family of 4 to live comfortably.

Try to target $200K in 3 years (approx $5.5K savings a month). U can achieve this amount if your company pays you about 4-6 mths bonus a year + u know some tricks...

Assumed 100k is what you need to pay for the downpayment of your selected HDB in 3 years time;

to buy HDB you need 2 person, so split 50% 50% each person only need to save 50K in 3 years or $1389/month for the next 3 years.
Part of the downpayment can be deducted from CPF so your CPF count too, so saving $1k cash/month for 3 years should be enough for the down payment. Monthly installment is by CPF, can split 50,50 among the couple so your cash flow will be better after you move in to your HDB and stop paying rent.

Some couple use up all their money to buy HDB but still want to "show off" their new home by signing up renovation, buying furniture on credit term beyond what they can afford.. end up with card debt. No pity on them.

Good luck for those who bought the HDB during the high time not too long ago, the price is just too unrealistic and it will come down in coming years. Save your money now and wait for the right time. I bought mine at the end of economy downturn, paying much less from those who bought it before the down turn.

My current mobile plan (S$30) and broadband plan (S$80, both starhub) just finish contract, wish to renew but the offer they give me is crap (only about 100 dollar voucher or something).

Agreed on the Penang food portion size. Price don't increase that much but kns, all the food is kids portion nowadays, hokkien mee or ckt, 3-4 mouthfuls finish liao.

Just a question if I working at  Kaki Bukit Technopark and it require work on shift.

1)which is the best suitable location for me to stay?

2)Since I need work on shift then i might need walk from my home(rent room) to Technopark.

3) Since I work on shift is it very difficult for me rent a room? (normally not convenient for house owner)

4)How much should I demand?,  (I am degree holder and with 6 years + work in IT line).They offer me L3/L4 position
