THe FLX spare isn't a full size. Its a space saver Continental CC2.

Lemon law. Not all cars manufactured are perfect. My FLX has alignment issues too. I have to steer a bit to the left in order to go straight.

My CVT so far so good, been up and down Genting in SAT mode and 110km/h on highways numerous times. SO far sill strong. flex.gif

care to take pic of the spare tyre?
ours are....same full size tyre with same rims

and the alignment issue...isn't an issue..it's normal
the alignment will never be correct on saga....the prob is the rear...not front alignment

you're right... we have the right to reject the car if there's defect, but however, after they fix it, we still getting the same car, only defect part being fixed or replaced... hmm.gif

there is no NEW petronas engine oil
but petronas have new transmission/GB oil

CVT GB must use CVT oil

some user say it will be like /----\(original, comes with the car)
if too |---|...handling won't be that good already...it must be like above
if u want the steering to be straight...have to use spacer to adjust the rear
end result would be a small \---/...small...not so obvious but u can see it as a V

How to reject?  sweat.gif
Our Msian way of delivery of cars is only AFTER the car is registered with JPJ ie the said car is oledi YOURS...in yr name!!

So NO way anyone can reject, correct?  rclxub.gif

Car company wld juz repair, etc for you depending on the faults detected. True?

Only one thing we can do after placing order for a new car...PRAY HARD that one wld get a reasonably well-assembled car with reasonably reliable parts...Agreed?  whistling.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

Incorrect. I think most M'sians don't understand consumer rights. When u collect your car, the salesman will run through a checklist with u. The checklist says that u inspected all parts of the car and u sign yr name saying YES, u inspected everything okay. So if u go through the checklist, something is missing, u still sign kah? You can reject on the spot if the steering wheel is missing, for eg and demand they give u another car. Whether they register with JPJ etc is their pasal.

You have to get your words right, mate.

Yes, i can accept lemon law...but a brand new car with gearbox belt breaking is not quiet acceptable....other small issues are acceptable, all cars got defects........but brand new gearbox belt breaking and the driver isn't even driving very fast....shocking.gif...if me, i'll write to Proton and Papers liao, and demand a brand new car or my money back....i think they'll give you good 'compensation' to keep u quiet.... brows.gif

I think there was a guy with some Inspira problem, after he complain the papers, Proton responded, after that cannot see in the thread liao...diam diam oready...."I help you, You help me"....Najib's favorite motto. brows.gif

Actually I would do the same. Write to papers etc. Unless they upgrade my Saga to Inspila for free as compensation. tongue.gif

So sorry if my using of the word "reject" is misunderstood/wrongly used in my post... tongue.gif

What I meant is what all of you also agreed in the end ie because of the way our cars are sold & delivered in Msia... in the end, yu will still get the SAME car!! Haha! rolleyes.gif

Eg in yr example, if the steering wheel is missing, they'll put a steering wheel on for you...however, it's still the SAME car which came w/o the steering wheel!! Correct? In the meantime, yr wait for yr car is extended... whistling.gif

So goes back to better PRAY HARD whenever yu buy any car in Msia....hehe... brows.gif brows.gif

Hmm...the CVT GB from Punch?? Maybe need to research what other cars use this GB and any such same incidence...but to break off so easily is....shocking.gif.....luckily driver didn't get into accident....sweat.gif...i think better stick to old AT GB or manual if buy Saga for time being.....dun wanna be lab rat.....at least for Inspira, Lancer guys have help us test for a few years already.... laugh.gif

the owner place booking for 1.6 FL initially but the sale person informed him that the waiting time is quite long and offer him FLX. He took the offer and get the FLX instead as he need a car for travelling at that moment..kesian him but lucky he is all right and didn't involved in accident

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Sep 13 2011, 12:35 PM)
from what i know there are 2 kind of belt used in CVT
not sure which is used in our CVT...but those belt shouldn't just break
somemore come from a reputable company.....manufacture defect?
proton sure claim back kaw2 with that company
*
CVT belt doesn't just break that easy right? this is also my first time hearing such issue with CVT GB, at first when driver told my colleague saying that he suspected something like belt break off, my colleague say impossible is CVT Belt as the car is so new. But after COE claim that it is true about the broken belt my colleague and was just doh.gif and speechless shocking.gif really hope that this is 1/1,000,000 of the unlucky major QC problem from Punch bcz I was thinking of asking my sis to buy the 1.6 CVT if there is any unsure.gif
