QUOTE(gogoman86 @ Sep 12 2011, 02:25 PM) finally done my 1st service at Jalan Kebun SC near Klang... costed me RM153 for all changed part. Ur FLX suspension is tuned harder and ARB is thicker compare to previous BLM and FL...so it will improve stability at highspeed.i also complain to them about the transmission jerking during slow drive (happen when traffic jam), they also can't answer me what's wrong with it. they only suggest me go to the main service centre beside the KESAS highway to re-programme and re-tune the timing for CVT... btw, just now i went to Kapar, after my 1st service. what i did, i press the pedal to the floor, the top speed i manage to reach is 170km/h @ 5,200rpm on straight road, but i slowed down my car due to overpass/flyover bridge (worry speedtrap i think this car can go over 170km/h during down hill during high speed drive up to 170km/h, i feel the car still stable for me. but i heard some comment from the forumer the car not stable when speeding, maybe due to the tyre alignment and balancing. |

Means there's only one mode which is dashboard vent, there's no underneath vent and upper vent rite? Cz I can't find any switch to change this Anyway, Australia spec do have different vent for aircon. |

QUOTE(zeone @ Sep 21 2011, 07:36 AM) A very good morning 2ALL BLM/FL/FLX lovers!! My normal spark plug adi last for 38k, still running strong and FC not affected. City drive is about 13-14km/L and highway 16-17km/L.A simple UPDATE re my recent changeover to Denso Iridium Power Spark Plugs : 1. No significant noticeable after effects...most probably engine is still new. Only reaching 5k Km. 2. Starts @ each & every turn of ignition key. 3. Used abt 12.5L of Petronas RON95 on first topup after 137.3Km. 4. Felt a slightly smoother engine response to presses on accelerator pedal...mayb "placebo" effect(?). 5. Savings in expenses cos each NGK change costs Rm38 & if each change @10k Km, total cost after 100k Km = 10x38 ie RM380!! Savings = RM220+ not incl labour charges!! So most probably benefits cld b juz easier starting, longer life & less "misfiring" which contributed to a smoother engine(?). Only time will tell, rite? So change every 10k km is just non sense, trust me. Anyway, Denso Iridium is just a nice item to have, enjoy it. This post has been edited by coolkwc: Sep 21 2011, 09:33 PM |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Sep 25 2011, 10:29 PM) I'm at Cheras bro. Weekends are free, IF you book me soon enough Entry level HU won't provide equalizer except bass and treble setting, the Pioneer HU mostly will give u extra 'mid' to adjust only. You need mid price HU which pricing at >600 to get so basic 5 band equalizer. Most of the time go for BLM UOTT, DIY car stuff, go out with girls My BLM go no steering controls The stock FLX audio system is okay, but got no equalizer. And you may want to add some tweeters as well On a side note, does the auto timer i put void the warranty? I did not modify any wiring, just tap off existing wires. |

QUOTE(lowyatsuperman @ Sep 26 2011, 02:41 PM) I come from "old school" of thought where "equaliser" etc are waste of money. If the SQ is top grade, all u need is fader control for front/rear speakers. A clean amp should be able to provide SQ to feed all speakers. At car if you want to get top grade SQ without equalizer adjustment, is just impossible. If u look at those high-end home amps, all they have are 2 knobs: volume and L-R balance control. Dun compare car with home stereo, at car listening position and space, door condition, sound proof level all will affect the SQ. Provided you have a top amp and top speaker, without equalizer and proper sound proof, is just a piece of junk. Why i know this? Because i heard a car with 20k SQ setup, HU is Aphine top model, he is a soundproof and SQ expert in Johor Area (Famous Audio). What i want to tell is those highend car HU all come with more than 10 band EQ, is details EQ, if it is waste of money, they won't include it at all. Somemore, car SQ setup need time alignment function HU, front/rear fader is just useless becos normally SQ is without rear speaker, and u need proper sond proof for your car. I think seriously you need to update your ICE knowledge before jump into that, else just waste of money. Anyway, you can discuss SQ setup in ICE subforum, read the thread posted by 'Mr Wong'. QUOTE(gogoman86 @ Sep 27 2011, 10:22 AM) RM270...? Wa, you are maths expert la, can figure out how many %... i can install some sound proofing item for my car and prepare this much of $$$ for my next coming service Added on September 27, 2011, 10:29 ami remember there is someone posted the sound proofing rubber for the door edge with some photo of 'Before' and 'After'... anyone here can give feedback on that? i'm now using stock rubber (FLX), and what i hear is : 5% people talking from outside 5% engine noise @ idle, 15% when cruising 10% wind sound when cruising @ 90km/h while, 15% @ 110km/h 40% motorcycle exhaust sound do all those noise can be lower down after installing the sound proofing door rubber? btw, the tyre noise is for sure we can't do any for it... This rubber can reduce 'some degree' of engine noise, road noise, wind noise and pass by vehicle noise. My suggestion, just change it without much consideration needed, as RM150 is not really that expensive only, it will at least improve some rather than none. If really want comparison, it is much more better than invest in some placebo effect item such as VS, grounding cable and different grade of engine oil, what you get is much more satisfaction.
