Hmm, FLX manual is it open for sales now? Seems like all forumer's FLX is CVT version, no manual user anymore?

if you rear tyre is |---|, your handling will be compromised. If you notice, a car with good handling will have /----\.
*
If a car with wide tyre profile, you won't even need to have negative camber at all.

If user can bare with tyre cost, then he can play with negative camber, else adjust until slightly negative or even 0 degree AKA |----|

finally done my 1st service at Jalan Kebun SC near Klang... costed me RM153 for all changed part.

i also complain to them about the transmission jerking during slow drive (happen when traffic jam), they also can't answer me what's wrong with it. they only suggest me go to the main service centre beside the KESAS highway to re-programme and re-tune the timing for CVT...  hmm.gif

btw, just now i went to Kapar, after my 1st service.
what i did, i press the pedal to the floor, the top speed i manage to reach is 170km/h @ 5,200rpm on straight road, but i slowed down my car due to overpass/flyover bridge (worry speedtrap  tongue.gif)...
i think this car can go over 170km/h during down hill  sweat.gif

during high speed drive up to 170km/h, i feel the car still stable for me. but i heard some comment from the forumer the car not stable when speeding, maybe due to the tyre alignment and balancing.
*
Ur FLX suspension is tuned harder and ARB is thicker compare to previous BLM and FL...so it will improve stability at highspeed.

I noticed that the speedo of 1.6 saga is up to 240km/h compared to other saga up to 200 only..But I dare not go that fast la..but its great to know that our sub-50k car can go as fast as those 1.8l even some 2.0l cars!  flex.gif
*
its useless to know that our sub-50k car can go as fast as those 1.8l even some 2.0l cars! yawn.gif

just because at those speed your saga will turn turtle while those 1.8l even some 2.0l cars still stable like stand still. smile.gif

if u want the steering to be straight...have to use spacer to adjust the rear
end result would be a small \---/...small...not so obvious but u can see it as a V

BLM/FL/FLX(?) do NOT hv such a simple but really useful warning alert sys...even top of the pack! mad.gif

So sad such simple helpful gadgets are left out these days...progress? rolleyes.gif
*
Simply because Saga is defined as 'basic' car (although FLX executive is not so 'basic').

Just the other day driving on highway, some stupid lorry ahead of me on the fast lane dropped a few stones and one of them chipped my windscreen. And this despite the fact there were 2 cars between me and that lorry. sigh ......

Me lagi kesian...

when my car only 4 months old, same scenario, stone from stupid lorry ahead, chipped off bonnet paint, rebound and hit A-piller make a dent there (imagine how hard it hit, even pillar also can dented), then rebound to rear and make a dent at D-piller...WTF, single stone made 3 marks at my car. vmad.gif

Means there's only one mode which is dashboard vent, there's no underneath vent and upper vent rite?
Cz I can't find any switch to change this  sad.gif

Again, Saga is in 'basic' car category.

Anyway, Australia spec do have different vent for aircon.

A very good morning 2ALL BLM/FL/FLX lovers!! notworthy.gif
A simple UPDATE re my recent changeover to Denso Iridium Power Spark Plugs :

1. No significant noticeable after effects...most probably engine is still new. Only reaching 5k Km. tongue.gif
2. Starts @ each & every turn of ignition key.
3. Used abt 12.5L of Petronas RON95 on first topup after 137.3Km.
4. Felt a slightly smoother engine response to presses on accelerator pedal...mayb "placebo" effect(?).
5. Savings in expenses cos each NGK change costs Rm38 & if each change @10k Km, total cost after 100k Km = 10x38 ie RM380!! Savings = RM220+ not incl labour charges!! rclxm9.gif

So most probably benefits cld b juz easier starting, longer life & less "misfiring" which contributed to a smoother engine(?).

Only time will tell, rite? icon_rolleyes.gif
*
My normal spark plug adi last for 38k, still running strong and FC not affected. City drive is about 13-14km/L and highway 16-17km/L.

So change every 10k km is just non sense, trust me. wink.gif

Anyway, Denso Iridium is just a nice item to have, enjoy it. smile.gif

want to know if the spark plug needed changing
the only way is to get it out and see

but the 10k is just recommended by the manufacturer
but it should last longer than it should
which is why the iridium one would last a lifetime in the car
*
No one will do this.

My way, if the spark plug needed changing, see ur FC and engine vibration during idle will do.

Well, you expect engine RPM over 4k still can get good F* ah?

What i told you, i run 100-110km/h only, RPM <3600, ok?

I'm at Cheras bro. Weekends are free, IF you book me soon enough brows.gif

Most of the time go for BLM UOTT, DIY car stuff, go out with girls brows.gif
My BLM go no steering controls mellow.gif

The stock FLX audio system is okay, but got no equalizer. And you may want to add some tweeters as well brows.gif

On a side note, does the auto timer i put void the warranty? I did not modify any wiring, just tap off existing wires.
*
Entry level HU won't provide equalizer except bass and treble setting, the Pioneer HU mostly will give u extra 'mid' to adjust only. You need mid price HU which pricing at >600 to get so basic 5 band equalizer.

I come from "old school" of thought where "equaliser" etc are waste of money. If the SQ is top grade, all u need is fader control for front/rear speakers. A clean amp should be able to provide SQ to feed all speakers.

If u look at those high-end home amps, all they have are 2 knobs: volume and L-R balance control.  smile.gif
*
At car if you want to get top grade SQ without equalizer adjustment, is just impossible.

Dun compare car with home stereo, at car listening position and space, door condition, sound proof level all will affect the SQ.

Provided you have a top amp and top speaker, without equalizer and proper sound proof, is just a piece of junk.

Why i know this? Because i heard a car with 20k SQ setup, HU is Aphine top model, he is a soundproof and SQ expert in Johor Area (Famous Audio).

What i want to tell is those highend car HU all come with more than 10 band EQ, is details EQ, if it is waste of money, they won't include it at all.

Somemore, car SQ setup need time alignment function HU, front/rear fader is just useless becos normally SQ is without rear speaker, and u need proper sond proof for your car. I think seriously you need to update your ICE knowledge before jump into that, else just waste of money.

Anyway, you can discuss SQ setup in ICE subforum, read the thread posted by 'Mr Wong'. wink.gif

RM270...?  hmm.gif
i can install some sound proofing item for my car and prepare this much of $$$ for my next coming service  tongue.gif

Added on September 27, 2011, 10:29 ami remember there is someone posted the sound proofing rubber for the door edge with some photo of 'Before' and 'After'... anyone here can give feedback on that? i'm now using stock rubber (FLX), and what i hear is :
5% people talking from outside
5% engine noise @ idle, 15% when cruising
10% wind sound when cruising @ 90km/h while, 15% @ 110km/h
40% motorcycle exhaust sound  shakehead.gif

do all those noise can be lower down after installing the sound proofing door rubber?  hmm.gif
btw, the tyre noise is for sure we can't do any for it...  sweat.gif
*
Wa, you are maths expert la, can figure out how many %... sweat.gif

This rubber can reduce 'some degree' of engine noise, road noise, wind noise and pass by vehicle noise.

My suggestion, just change it without much consideration needed, as RM150 is not really that expensive only, it will at least improve some rather than none.

If really want comparison, it is much more better than invest in some placebo effect item such as VS, grounding cable and different grade of engine oil, what you get is much more satisfaction.
