One good advise for people who are victim of hit & run by motors is that to get out of your car quick and grab their keys. It is likely they lost balance and fell.

I have heard from friends and relatives that they are likely using false number plates and do not have license. Even if they dont, they will zip off and you are too dazed to remember to take down their number.

Just help them to the side, then grab their key.

Funny though, I told my bro to do this, and when my bro turned around to attract a policeman nearby, that biker pushed his bike and jump started it and escaped!! Good thing, he got his key with the license tag of his friend's and his friend called back to settle.

Just thought want to share this, from my recent experience... if the either party want to make a claim from insurance, both parties have to make a police report. If 1 party makes the police report, the other doesn't, then you would have to wait ages, for the police to "find" the owner of the car. And whilst that, you can't make any claims from insurance.

Hence, if it would be best that BOTH parties go to the police station at the same time, or have some sort of an assurance that the other party does go and make the report. Else it would be of lost cause.

Who knows how long the police gonna take to find the owner, as they claim they have thousands of files whom are only 1 person making the report. Also overheard you have to make some "payment" to quicken the process....

Also have to go KL Main traffic police office to get the report printed, and to follow up on it there. zzz.

since he dun wun pay so i went to police station, he kena 2 samans (bang ppl + road tax expired) + police warning for threatening me.. too bad sarjan said have to go for civil case if i wan to proceed.. damn.. dun wun waste time + money so jus ignore the case.. sigh~~

Added on September 20, 2011, 11:16 pmit is a minor scratch, use scratch remover will be better than tpuch up paint as the scratch remover is usable for all color paint. and after fixed u can hardly see the scratch unless it is deep scratch.

anyone using MEX on a daily basis? issit just me or the IMA system really malas to work on this hiway. the IMA doesnt assist much, eventhough im climbing an inclination..most of the time the IMA is in charging mode (though im going uphill)..

It is normal laaa... IMA is not design for highway high speed cruise... the 1.3 engine is sufficient for it....

IMA works great on low speed and usually will stop working above 120km/h unless you floor the throttle lah then IMA will kick in on acceleration then soon after that will go back to sleep...

reason : our car 1.3 engine is very cost efficient on highway cruise...

I cannot see clearly, but does it require knocking / is it dented a lot? If knocking is not required, then it should be less than RM200. Just some putty clay and paint over the affected area. I hope RM 100 - 150 will fix it for you.
