i suppose wiping the engine with a micro-fiber cloth by 3m would suffice. provided there is not much water stain in there. i think the bay is sufficiently covered from external water splasing hence minimal cleaning.

Added on September 20, 2011, 9:59 amya, at first i wanted black, but since the stock will arrive sometime in mid-oct i settled for blue instead. a wise decision because now i think i love this blue color. its darker, i supposed thats what the "II" insignia signifies (a more darker blue).

Depends on the tenure and loan amount actually. The rate is still relatively low - so I'd rather extend the tenure. You get more if you put the money in Fixed deposit (3% or maybe more). Lol.

For me, I have a lot of housing loans and insurance instalment monthly. I'd rather put my extra money on the my flexible housing loans than reduce the car loan interest.

RM 17,886 in loan interest for the entire tenure seems a lot, but I need to look at the bigger picture.

Was offered 2.65% by Maybank for 7 years. However I opted 9 years with Hong Leong and still got 2.65%. 7 years loan has the best rate IMHO. Maybe my loan amount was higher and so they offered me better rate. Anyhow, difference is minuscule.

If you don't like disclosing your salary to too many parties, then go with Affin or Hong Leong. Do not disclose salary to the SA. Deal direct with the bank.

Thanks.. got it but do you think outside got sell this paint code? Tot of sending my car for repaint the scratches n minor dent on front mudguard area.. worried the paintshop cant get the correct paint even I got the code..

Why not paint it yourself if it's minor hairline scratches?

U can buy the paint and clear coat at most DIY stores or tesco.. It's brand called autospa..

just for your info since most insight are pearl paint, the paint by autospa doesnt include the pearl coat.

the pearl paint are usually tri coat (base paint, pearl coat, clear coat) and it depends on how many layers of pearl coat to be put on.

so if your scratch is obvious leave it to professionals

this the thing i worried about if i send to 3rd party paintshop although they claim no problem. later i post up the picture of the scratches. luckily its black so its not really notice and luckily i can push back the dent after unclip the plastic mudguard at front wheel but still abit minor dent that I cant make it smooth.. headache, cant make up my mind to send for repaint or not.. sigh..

Probably settle for ezytouch at higher price.

this was taken a while back and now its much better after sanding

also friendly reminder, if you want to sand, just sand the touched up paint area! coz if not u will sand out the pearl coat of the original paint of the area that is not affected as well. you can see nearby the place i touched up the pearl coat is gone
