QUOTE(jacek @ Sep 2 2011, 04:36 PM) total damage for 4th service is RM251.17 I get 3K including Kits(Front/rear/side) / Spoiler.... dont think grill is included...breakdown as below: 1.Labour - RM58.50 2.Engine oil - RM117.41 3.Washer Drain - RM2.10 4.Oil Filter - RM30.68 5.Alignment - RM30 6.Balancing - RM35 Item 2,3,4 entitle 15% discount ... d@mn, didnt know it was 25% discount promo end 31-Aug. Question is: 1. is it neccessarily to do alignment and balancing every 15k km? As advise by SA, it is neccessarily eventhou we did not hit any pothole or etc. 2. is true that IMA battery still price at RM10k and above? SA said the price still at this range and the market mentioned RM6k for the battery wasnt true. Now I am thinking twice whether it is worth to drive Insight if the IMA batt cost RM10k and above 3. 20k km service will cost approx RM500 because of the air-cond filter change. Is it neccessarily to change air-cond filter every 20k km? Any bros can advise? Added on September 2, 2011, 4:38 pm RM3k does it include front grill and spoiler? If not, it is expensive. I found RM2xxx for all...include front, side, rear skirting, with mugen grill and spoiler. price include installation. 2K cheap wei.... PM me I wanna go install.... (Paint included ABS material??) |

infact if I drive normal I get better FC compared to drive like a snail...
the computer onboard function to tell you if you over accelerate and be gentle on your throttle not drive like a snail... it is to train you to press the accelerator in pace insted of slamming it to the floor... there is a difference of driving eco style and driving slow... and slow doesnt mean fuel efficiency.... |

QUOTE(STC @ Sep 18 2011, 01:42 PM) I have to squeeze in my car porch and the engine stops and starts too often but just now with the Econ off, it moved without stopping. What i did is install a under seat active sub and main tain all speaker stock and i was surprise it sound very very good!!!The audio system is just so so. I have been advised not to strain the battery and the computer system by adding extras, such as an Amp. Anyone tried without affecting the lifespan of the normal battery or is it too early to tell? ST See how we organize a tt and i show you kekeke |

QUOTE(STC @ Sep 18 2011, 04:09 PM) I was thinking what a crazy idea Did not feel any extra load at all maybee this is due to only very small current draw from the subsUnig was right. And to Calvin, I am okay with the bass but the fidelity is below my expectations. Any difference in FC and performance after installing the active sub. Technically, I believe extra load to the electrical system may void the warranty. Solutions?iPod? ST |

it all depend how you drive actually...
the average of insight can give you is 550KB is safe I have manage to squeeze up to 800KM it all depend how you drive... drive green or drive blue (Eco Guide mode) As for me I love this car cause 1. Fuel efficient 2. It teach me how to drive better and brake better 3. Battery (IMA) is not expensive look at US after 5 years or so I believe there is aftermarket replacement for it and it only cost RM2K (Finger crossed) furthermore the IMA bat is made up of D-Cell how hard can it be since notebook have aftermarket litium battery... 4. it is MADE IN JAPAN.... I repeat MADE IN JAPAN!!! 5. below RM100K seriously where can you find a better car... and look good too with kits lah |

QUOTE(mrsafwan @ Sep 21 2011, 09:31 AM) anyone using MEX on a daily basis? issit just me or the IMA system really malas to work on this hiway. the IMA doesnt assist much, eventhough im climbing an inclination..most of the time the IMA is in charging mode (though im going uphill).. It is normal laaa... IMA is not design for highway high speed cruise... the 1.3 engine is sufficient for it.... or im getting paranoid with my own car. help IMA works great on low speed and usually will stop working above 120km/h unless you floor the throttle lah then IMA will kick in on acceleration then soon after that will go back to sleep... reason : our car 1.3 engine is very cost efficient on highway cruise... |
