Added on September 10, 2011, 2:50 pm damn those bloody hell mxtxrist. they are the worst and most uncivilized road users ever. it should not have mxtxrbxke at all on the road. [/quote] What a snobbish ******* you are. I wish you will never have to ever drive a motorbike or rely on the service of one. Chizzu understands that it was his initial mistake but the bad tempered biker overreacted. Maybe the biker thought he would have lost his life due to other's carelessness and took things further. We have overall a bad reputation for all our road users alike, what you are doing is just pot calling kettle black. If we were to remove bikes from the roads, just imagine the road traffic. 90% of car drivers in Malaysia only ferry the driver alone. Can we say that car are ineffecient and should be banned from the roads? |

QUOTE(pAcAq @ Sep 11 2011, 01:02 PM) calm down man, u call them uncivilized but cursing them is not civilized also. the road is for public use, . everybody have the right to use the road and they all paid the taxes too. Please tell me that Westlife kid is just an immature and spoilt 18 years old kid who has never faced the reality of life.unless ure saying about highways, u paid the toll but the bikers dont, even then if something happened to them no tows for them unlike us the car users (there are free tows for some highways) I have never driven motor too, but I understand that some bikers use them because they cant afford a car. |

QUOTE(chizzu @ Sep 13 2011, 11:40 PM) So far no jerking issue from my insight apart from rare occasion where I step on pedal too fast when accelerating from auto stop. Just got my insight today after cancelling my fiesta 2 weeks ago. Guess I was too lazy to wait another 1 month for my fiesta (3 months "recomended" waiting time) back then.I now somewhat understand the jerking issue you guys been talking about. Got stuck in a jam today with repeating stop go traffic - with the engine cutting off every now and then. Did not notice this since the test drive's traffic condition was so smooth. No regrets though. I never expected a drivers car when I picked Insight. Else I'll just hijack my brother's Golf GTi and smoke some civics. |

QUOTE(kelvin_hata @ Sep 14 2011, 12:24 AM) Well, I know Golf GTi cant smoke Evos, Porsche, Ferarris or even some Wiralution. No choice la but to smoke some Civics or maybe STOCK Civic Type Rs. I have always wanted to rev till 8K rpm in neutral then shift to D, but not on my own car. Do you think those showrooms allows us to do that?Added on September 14, 2011, 10:35 am QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Sep 14 2011, 09:17 AM) nice.... Sharp Plasmacluster!!! Agreed, almost same horsies, 225(H) vs 210(VW) but 6.6s(H) vs 6.9s(VW). 6.9s easy to acheive with DSG gearbox. 6.6s can be acheived by mostly pros.Added on September 14, 2011, 9:18 am Of course Golf GTI can smoke civic.... but a Civic Type R will give a good challenge to Golf GTI.... We all know the car jerks. But I drive like a jerk now. Heck, I drive my Kenari faster than I drive my Insight.
Is it just me or are all Insight drivers obsessed with hypermiling? Even driving at 70 - 80km/hr on highway, I always manage to overtake a lot of Insights. I think we are the reason for traffic jam in KL now. Cheers from fellow jerk in a jerky car. |

QUOTE(psyeo @ Sep 15 2011, 12:08 PM) You don't have to be a Jerk on the road to get the best FC of the car. Driving slow (<40km/h) brings more harm to my FC than the other way round. and that doesn't equate to you bought the wrong car. Lol yeah. What I mean was me driving 70-80km/hr on MRR2, but seeing lots of Insight driving a lot lower than that. I normally would have driven 90km/hr on that stretch when possible. It is more of the driver's attitude. But then again, only drive 7.5km a day to the monorail and another 7.5km back home from monorail. FC does not matter much for me. I pump only RM50 a month. |

QUOTE(SteadyPana @ Sep 15 2011, 02:50 PM) Oh nvm, I will have the last laugh.Considering how jammed it is in KL, I guess I can only laugh at all the peoples stuck in the jam in their sports car. I normally leave my car at the monorail station and transit via monorail. |

QUOTE(SteadyPana @ Sep 15 2011, 04:56 PM) Funny thing is that if you are buying a Honda City or similar car, you already paid around 25K - 30K extra. Effectively, you pay at least 8 years worth of petrol (even at RM3.XX) in advance to your beloved government. But still, you need to pay RM1.90/L for some reasons I am still trying to find out. |

QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Sep 16 2011, 08:17 AM) Bro... Erm, I am quite sure the Swift CBU Japan is sold at 70+K after discount while they were still in sold here. My bro got one after some negotiation. Actual should be 80+K if not mistaken; it was somewhat new at that time and not selling well. Nowadays, the CKD should be selling at a little over 70K. Not sure what is the discount offered. I remember the price difference is 10K between CBU Japan and CKD.Find me a made in japan car for rm99k then we talk A city is a whole different car... People who buy insight wanted to do their part on saving energy and fuel also this car is handsome :-) But in the US market, the Swift is consistently rated as one of the most unreliable car. I am not sure where US version of Swift is sourced from. Anyhow, the handling is superb and the steering is telepathic with loads of feedback. Just found out that CBU JApan SX4 sells below 85K too. I always thought the current City shares the same chassis as Insight. Maybe I am wrong, but when I drive my brother's City (the current one), it slides and understeers crazily when cornering exactly like the Insight. Some part of the interior is shared too. QUOTE(chizzu @ Sep 16 2011, 01:36 PM) IIRC the Honda Insight chasis is derived from the latest Honda Jazz/Fit Well, then City shares this chassis too. It is written at the top. In fact, all 3 has similar looking front. the front looks very similar to Honda Jazz The 1st gen of City in Malaysia is in fact a Jazz that has its butt forcefully stretched to produce a sedan (in order to sell in Malaysia). Explains why it looks so ugly. Jazz is very similar to a City; engine, chassis, steering, electronics and much more. Some were carried over to the Insight,CR-Z and Freed it seems. QUOTE(junjunjun @ Sep 16 2011, 08:03 PM) A new facelift insight is coming soon on 2012........ they did change a bit on it for the front grill and spec find out more on http://myevercarmart.com/articles/view/39/...ew-at-frankfurt Quite subliminal FL. Lets see if HM will impose a surcharge. Some peoples from European countries might rejoice at the fact that carbon dioxide emissions is reduced down to 96g/km. The current stands at 101g/km, just above the 100g/km mark that would exempt it from certain taxes. |

QUOTE(SteadyPana @ Sep 17 2011, 10:24 PM) My brother told me the price for his Golf GTi is only 50 something thousand as stated on his AP. It is the same as Insight's. Imagine in countries where there is only low tax imposed on cars, it would be more affordable to own a Golf. Insight might have better FC, but it has high running cost. Golf Tsi has very good FC and somewhat lower running cost. |
