I envy u guys, I only can drive my insight during the weekends cos I'm working in SG now. Occasionally I will drive in with my car if I'm tired with bus or I require mobility or flexibility here (yea, screw the VEP n parking fees).
I'm back in klang most of the weekends. Notice insight is a rare breed here. Heard it cost SGD 120k with Coe. Gonna drive back in insight tmr.

I thought you are not allowed to drive Malaysian registered cars in Singapore if you are A Malaysian with a Singapore work permit or a Singaporean Citizen.

EP holders still can drive MY cars in SG, provided u can absorb the weekdays VEP n also the parking fees. Unless u rent a condo unit or u have relative staying in landed property, then u can park for free.
Don't tell me on 6 hrs thing, that's the written law. I have couple of frens n seen ppl drive their MY cars into SG for a week, esp those who park at changi n fly from there.

High guys, is your rear mirror vibrates? Sometimes, I notice the image slightly blurry due to vibration.

Just done the 15k service for my car..breakdown as below:

1.) Labour - RM62 (include tax)
2.) Engine oil (SL-5W-40) - RM140 (bought from outside dealer)
3.) Oil Filter (Hamp) - RM 20 (bought from outside dealer)
4.) Washer Drain - FOC

Total was RM212...The service advisor recommend to use the new SM 0W-20 full-sync oil for light-footed hybrid car drivers as it is meant to improve fuel economy but with lower performance. Since I have brought my own engine oil, so I did not opt for it

After switching to high performance full-sync engine oil, car feels less jerking, much more quiet and responsive on high rev rclxms.gif

HM mentioned must follow their predefined service intervals in order for the car warranty to be valid. just wonder how much extra km we can drag extra before they consider as voiding warranty, 1k? My first service was done at 2k instead of 1k as i had drove the car outstation to kedah right after collection. i am going to hit 5k and due for first service about 3 weeks from the day i collected the car. looks like i need to service the car about once a month if follow the 5k interval.

i used to use fully synthetic oil in my previous car and service every 10k. i do not think HM will honour the warranty if i do the same. anyway, will try to ask the SC when i go there for the 5k service soon.

I find the mirror is too light. Added some blu-tack at the back and the vibration reduced. Will ask SC to solve it because it affects driving safety. Who knows they might recall all insights for replacement of the mirror provided many people make complaint.

Btw, my car just completed the first stage of Econ mode but straight jumped to second mode that is from 10 leaves to 20 leaves after 2592km. It didn't go through stages like adding 11, 12 and so on. Is it normal? However, I can't see any level in the second stage bar.

that's why i'm more apprehensive of those high volume car wash
god knows how long has the cloth been in use and there's possibility that there are fine dirt trapped in it
you can try turtle wax scratch and swirl remover or meguair's scratch-X or ultimate compound (not too sure about the name)
but if i were you, i'll hold back doing it till the car is at least 3 months old
