bafukie is correct, this picture is from Japan. Our car interior is black one but I shall order one if I have extra money... For me a lens cover plastic cost this price is a bit pricey but MADE IN JAPAN... haha

I didn't know so many people is so interested on this...

Sadly our Honda SC doesn't know anything about this until I check with Japan Insight Club website... My Honda SC is in Penang Island and they inform me this part is come from Honda Odyssey. Guess the price is fair enough...

If anybody know someone stay in Japan can help us to group buy, that would be lovely... Japan selling this is around RM 40 after Japan Yen Conversion but without shipping yet...

If anyone can help me on Yahoo Auction Japan, I need some help to order a part which is give us convenience on our insight power wire from the Fuse Box.

can reset CVT?? during 5k service can or not?

You can reset the CVT anytime, I'm not sure the SC would reset it during servicing your car.

I noticed after the CVT reset, I can feel smoother drive. Less jerking and the battery seem easily charged.

My current miliage is 18000 plus. I tried to get to the screen of CVTF reset. It show me 21500 on the reading. Does it mean that it shall reset at 21500? What is the reading on the the CVTF Maintenance after you done your reset?

i believe the CVT should be properly resetted at 40,000km. since your current mileage is 18,000, so the remaining mileage before CVT reset is at (40,000-18,000)=21,500 (as per the display).

is frequent resetting of the CVT detrimental or beneficial?

if it has been reset, from the display it should show that your Trip A starts from 0km, and the FC bar chart starts from One bar again

Still could not figure out the relationship of the reset would have anything to do with solving slagging and jerking issue.

Dig through the copy of Owner's Manual and found a section under Maintenance - CVTF Service Reminder System (Starting from Page 353 till 360 in my copy of manual), which explains the purpose of this reading and reset procedure. IMHO, this is just a reminder service that you reset after every CVTF fluid change at 40,000km, so the system will warn you the next time you need to change CVTF fluid again when you pass another 40k.

No harm resetting it, I guess you just will not get the warning to change CVTF fluid at the correct timing.

Usually the service center will keep track on that for you using the service booklet, so there is not much worry of not having accurate reminder service from the car's odometer, if you felt doing the resetting procedure can make the car less jerking or slugish. wink.gif

I envy u guys, I only can drive my insight during the weekends cos I'm working in SG now. Occasionally I will drive in with my car if I'm tired with bus or I require mobility or flexibility here (yea, screw the VEP n parking fees).
I'm back in klang most of the weekends. Notice insight is a rare breed here. Heard it cost SGD 120k with Coe. Gonna drive back in insight tmr.
