I find the mirror is too light. Added some blu-tack at the back and the vibration reduced. Will ask SC to solve it because it affects driving safety. Who knows they might recall all insights for replacement of the mirror provided many people make complaint.

Btw, my car just completed the first stage of Econ mode but straight jumped to second mode that is from 10 leaves to 20 leaves after 2592km. It didn't go through stages like adding 11, 12 and so on. Is it normal? However, I can't see any level in the second stage bar.

Wow, you complete your first stage with only 2.5k mileage? You must be one good 'eco driver' smile.gif Congrats!

Actually I got the first 10leaves much much earlier but the bar was filling up slowly and waited to see my first trophy. But it jumped straight to 20 leaves. I didnt even see the trophy. It is bit dissapointing because I wanted to show my children.

Eco driver? I am not really a slow driver but I time well and hardly use hard braking. If you time your driving to avoid unnecessay braking and accelaration you can achieve more leaves easily. Also I noticed that sticking to green all the time is not necessarily the most economical on FC.

HM mentioned must follow their predefined service intervals in order for the car warranty to be valid. just wonder how much extra km we can drag extra before they consider as voiding warranty, 1k? My first service was done at 2k instead of 1k as i had drove the car outstation to kedah right after collection. i am going to hit 5k and due for first service about 3 weeks from the day i collected the car. looks like i need to service the car about once a month if follow the 5k interval.

i used to use fully synthetic oil in my previous car and service every 10k. i do not think HM will honour the warranty if i do the same. anyway, will try to ask the SC when i go there for the 5k service soon.
*
i think depends on which sc u go. for me i did my 3rd service two weeks (at least more than 10 days after exact 6 mths), when i called them up to make the appt, i told them i got no time so can only go at that time, the lady who answered call said need to check with the service dept for approval and called me back on the outcome. Obviously it has no problem for me to get it approved tongue.gif

I think the first three services due to the fact they are FREE. so the sc maybe stricter on this. After that, i believe, if you drag a bit should be ok.

ok, i scratched the whole of my car today because i sent my car for a snow car wash. man, the swirling and line marks are obvious. what kind of cloth are they using, abbrasive?? may i know how can i eliminate the scratches? any certain products, or do i need to polish my car??? its only 2 months old.
*
can try this

user posted image

if the scratch is not deep, use this definitely can remove. I had tried this product before and still owned it.
but since your whole car was scratched now, it will be easier to do polishing instead. but probably you can wait for few more mths before you do it.

seriously for my last car i did do the snow wash outside, i would say i will nvr go back for my insight. although snow wash is fast and clean. but u can easily see the spider web scratch (not obvious, but when step closer to the car under sun, you can definitely see them).

my insight going to 7 mths already. car paint is still new and no major scratches. self wash once per two weeks.

Why you want to reset it? Anyway, you can reset it anytime you like, it is documented in our Owner's Manual.

DIY again for the Bootlight for Insight. The doublesided tape doesn't last long. I use cable tie. Works great. Since it is working, I put double bootlight.   tongue.gif

Attach photo on how to DIY. Doesn't scratch the plastic, don't worry.  tongue.gif  Need some drilling on the plastic hole(light) so that cable tie can pass thru. If you can fine the small one(cable tie) that will work... rclxms.gif

Since I bought the wrong LED (DOT-IT), might as well use it as backup. Just that it is manual push... tongue.gif

no he nvr showed me. he just told me he activated that. because my alarm got problem which sometimes alarm is not activated even lock with the remote.

so today he is troubleshooting for me, so to allow me to know if my alarm is activated (working), he enabled it for me.

besides, now by default, if door is not locked probably, also got 3 peeps.

yeah, mine is a bit low as of now (because that time i bought insight i had yet to sell away my previous car, so there was a short period of about 5 mths I got two cars to use concurrently, so it saved my insight's millage a bit).

if not normally my millage per year will be close to 20k (which is normal millage for a car usage also) per year, because once in a while i will drive to Penang during holiday.

normal daily i only traveled probably 6xkm at most.

but i will never purposely avoid driving like some of friends to save my car millage (some of my friends if there is gathering, they will ask me purposely to fetch them despite they had their own cars which I find that this is rather thicked skin of act rolleyes.gif). I will use my car whenever necessary without any hesitation.

it is the cobra connex people who did for me one. not the sc own people.

i dun think they will do it for you for free though.

because i installed the cobra connex in my insight and they are troubleshooting my connex problem therefore they enable for me. tongue.gif

i did remember when i go to honda sc for normal service, the service advisor did ask me if i want to have the peep sounds for the the locking/unlocking doors for dun know how much already

i think you can just tell the sc? because the sc ever asked me if i want to do it? i remembered they said abt rm100-1xx if not wrong. (cannot remember the exact amount), but I know they got such service.

auto lock function i doubt so, but the sc got offer to ask me to install that rm300. (but think it engaged outside workshop to do one).

frankly speaking auto lock to me is redundant, because everytime i go in my vehicle, i straightaway lock the door myself, in fact if wait til engine start then it auto lock, it maybe too late if touch wood you were targeted by bad guys way before hand.

and i know some recon to wait for some lights on the meter to turn off before start engine (it will at least take you 30secs or more if you do so).

Hi, anywhere can buy this? How much?
I got some minor scratch also, about half a cm.
I tried looking for such touch up items, but I can't find anyone selling similar items here
sad.gif

The turtle scratch repair system, costs about 1XX in jusco, and I think it's cheaper if we send it to workshop to touch up at this rate...

I got into much swirl when attempt to wax myself. Probably rushing to remove the wax n applying the wrong ways that caused it. I going to buy Turtle Wax Scratch & Swirl Remover from tesco/carrefour, selling at 24.90rm. Will try it this weekend n see how it goes.

that's why i'm more apprehensive of those high volume car wash
god knows how long has the cloth been in use and there's possibility that there are fine dirt trapped in it
you can try turtle wax scratch and swirl remover or meguair's scratch-X or ultimate compound (not too sure about the name)
but if i were you, i'll hold back doing it till the car is at least 3 months old

thanks mate for the tip. appreciate it.
