Check with your boss whether he is planning to actually contribute CPF, or if he is planning to encash your CPF by paying you into your salary. As per juno's quote below I guess it's not allowed for non SC/SPR.

For me I get my CPF encashed into salary. 16%, capped at $5000 (i.e. $800)

thanks guys, will clarify with him.
he did mention cpf contribution so I'm not too sure also...
anyway, what he said is tat he havent got the permission from the big boss from Europe to approve the position's vacancy yet, which mean i cant apply for the position yet...will probably take up the offer from malaysian company.

how long usually it wil take for the employement pass to get approved through and besides that, is there anything that will be an obstacle for employment of malaysian to singapore?
what is the fastest time an employment process (including s-pass etc) can get through if both employee and employer agree on terms?

fastest is 1 day for ep-ipa, longest is around 2months+ if rejected initially

once your have your ep approved its all the way.. things that can be reason for rejection includes, criminal record, drug abuse, serious illness like aids, dubious qualification, ... etc etc

1 day as explained..

Anybody knows if it will be possible to catch a bus from Larkin to Melaka next coming Friday since it will be a public holiday on Monday? I am attempting to catch one after 7pm.

There are 3 bus schedule after 7pm.

7PM, 7:45pm and 9pm.

if you are going back on the eve of public holiday or holiday week, better buy in advance...

Bus company's offering the service would be KKKL and Delima. My friend recommend KKKL.

PS : My friend travel JB-Melaka every weekend. So this is the advice given by him smile.gif

If you want to pick your favourite bus co., dates and timing, yes. If you go later and canvas all the ticketing counters, you'll still probably find tickets but in my experience, you'll end up in one of those "additional buses"... ie. bas kilang or bas sekolah.

I've even experienced... from Singapore, they put you on the normal charter bus to Larkin. Then in Larkin, that's where the nightmare starts. Switch to a bas kilang, then take some highway, some old trunk road, lots of stops, pick up people, let people off, the driver "deliver stuff" etc. One time, my bus even kena detained by JPJ for 2 hours at their CNY roadblock.

That's why these days, I fly. So much simpler, more comfortable... but damn expensive if you book late... like now. My Firefly CNY return flight is almost RM800.

I am not sure if they are still there but have you check delima and Sin-Malacca express from Lavenda terminal?

Getting to Larkin on holiday eve will take longer time, you have to leave SG early.

Hi friends,

I am going to visit SG end of November. I am planning to go for the Universal Studio in SG, just want to find out information as listed below:

-how much entrance fees I need to pay for the theme park
-Is this Universal Studio located nearby to any one of the casinos in SG?
-What kind of transportation I could take to reach the Universal Studio? By MRT and which station?

Thanks for anyone who have been there to leave your guidance.smile.gif

SGD72 if you buy online. Can't remember the exact number, but it is 70+.
If you buy from the ticketing counter, you may get a 20% discount if you use mastercard.
Next to Genting Resort World casino.
MRT would be harbourfront (yellow or purple line) where you go into vivocity mall.
You then decide whether you want to take the train for one stop (SGD3) or walk along the broadwalk (SGD1) in. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Buy online with the master card promo. 20% discount. They will give out a certain amount (1st 100 ppl?) of $10 merchandise shop voucher per card holder. So try using different master card to book to maximize this. Card holder must be present to redeem the voucher.

Universal Studio is just above the casino rclxms.gif

Take mrt to Harbour Front. There's a shuttle bus to casino from the bus stop outside Vivo city.

For the income tax, who I should pay? Malaysia government or the Singapore government?

I'd say Singapore government.
