It's up to u girl. But my ideal type of gal look on my personality than money.
Btw, if u are pretty u can demand more, if u are not, then hope u can marry before u are on 30 yrs old.
And 4k SGD just enough for me to suppork family if wife is also working, average SG people earn 3k/month if u know. Don't look rich people, look many people are poor then u will be free..

I wish to study a part time degree course out of my field for the fun of it. That's after my wife complete her part time master course.

One good things in Singapore is there are a lot of opportunity to upgrade yourself at any level. Many courses in local uni and poly are cater to working adults. I had completed one part time course after my full time degree. I know some of my classmates are over 40 and that was not their first part time course.

I maybe will consider NUS master in supply chain management! but sg doesn't have petroleum engineer part time degree?

And what I dun understand why u guys like to study at univ? I think better to gain the experiences and u can learn more in the jobs, just stay back until 10 p.m in ur office than u need to pay course fees. And the company also gives u training mah, my spv is going to europe for training

I just don't understand why you wanna compare to ppl who lower than u, if u compare to ppl earn lower than you, you feel happy and satisfy? Why don't compare to ppl who earn more than you and you should think how to achieve that? Why stay with what you having now and not trying to go further & achieve more? I only know that I shouldn't be contented while I'm still young. Stay hungry, stay foolish, this is what my 'BOSS' said tongue.gif

That bad? Today's news SG inflation was over higher than expected but I am sure money is never enough.

Years ago I told my gf that we should start our family right after degree. That's start when you earn little and we built up together with what we have.If there is a will there is a way. If you wait till you have the money for your dream flat that you wish for years ago, housing cost increase much faster than average salary increment ever since the first hdb was built.

Timing is money, especially in SG.

Probably for locals only.. And it's definitely industry-distinctive. From what I've heard so far, oil and gas and semiconductor industry give higher starting pay in SG.

Look at ME degree or master from nus or ntu. The petroleum is one of the degree option.

I had stay back till mid night to learn new things and my company provide ongoing training but uni courses let you learn from other people outside your company. Mind you, those part time course is not like your fresh degree. Some of the student already expert in the field, they were there to grill the lecturer for more detail. Fun to be in discussion.

Good luck to you finding that type of girl in SG. Girls like dat also hard to find in KL let alone in this competitve place known as SG....unless you go JB kampung- kampung type.....

And today in Raffles Place, I look with disgust when very pretty young chinese lady (dunno singaporean, Malaysian or China chinese) holding hands with a fat, bald and ugly gwai lou who happens to be a head shorter than her( and by his looks alot older). I try to convince myself she did it for the money........ sweat.gif
