My company applied EP for me on Thursday evening and get in-principle approval on Friday morning. Very fast and efficient.

Stay in SG and spend RM really expensive hahaha. I have been in Singpore and look for job for about 2 weeks, spend about RM 1k.

i'm also eyeing for a new one to replace my aging car. WV Golf GTI have good engine performance but cost a bomb ... haha.

Unless you get the 2L Jetta which isn't very common, the chip will have up the turbo boost of the 1.4 or 1.6 way above the standard GTi to come up with the same power output. However, the intercooler, radiator, oil cooler, water pump and oil pump are too small, plus the fact that the turbine is smaller so it'll be heating plenty fast at such high boost ratios. The block, cylinder head are also not made for that abnormal above-GTi boost level. Then comes the gearbox and the brakes.

In a nutshell... chip ups need to be done properly by upgrading everything else. And by the time you do it properly, you could have paid for the higher model already.

i think what sean says is quite true..
there is alot of factor you need to put in before considering to put in a stage 2 chip, in which after all the mods, you could opt for a higher model already

by default  a jet can outrun your daily wira-lution and inspira-lution

a stage 2 chip can make your car gun faster, but what about the power to brake ratio? ceramic pads only good for certain period, 2 run and a half down at sepang, you will be having a bbq pads..suspension coil over? gearbox may handle the daily pressure, how about emergency downshift?

supercharging may be gunning it all the way, but what truely matters is your skill to control the toy..

i've seen many ppl with 300horsies down the hood but when it comes to taking sideways, they hit on the red as fast as they accelerate, even wira-boy dares to take sideways better than them

Nevertheless, I think you still know a whole lot about car though.  I think not many people will have such knowledge about engine, etc.

I saw some one talk about supercharging, bear in mind the fine for supercharging compared to turbo charging is higher if get caught by LTA.

If I can't convert, I can always buy. JPJ is known to be one of the most corrupted agency.

1. Buy car need driving license ?

I got an offer to work in Singapore. Currently the employer is preparing the offer letter.
The location is at Changi business park (CBP). Anyone working there?
After some googling I found that the nearest HDB township is Simei. If my estimation is correct, its about 30 mins walking distance to CBP, which is not very near..
There are 'premium bus services' that goes to CBP from Yishun/Sembawang/AMK/Punggol/SengKang. Gives me more options.
After checking the rental rates, apart from Yishun, the rest of the areas are S$2000 and above. Any idea why Yishun rental is slightly cheaper? coz its a little further from the city?

My friend staying at Jurong, travelling to CBD area taking taxi to and fro almost everyday. He still say it is cheap comparing to driving a car. He sold his car and happily taking taxi everyday, like having a driver fetching him here and there everyday. Hard truth is having a car cost much more than taking taxi. Bus is cheaper but longer travelling time.

No worries...his monthly taxi fares cost less than 800 per month.  Keeping his car, his CBD  area office car park + HDB car park + normal car parking fees +  ERP + monthly installment + Insurance + Road Tax + Fuel + Maintenance is much more than his taxi fares.

OK guys, I did some research on hr consulting firms. Seems like all prefer at least a couple years of relevant working experience. Should fresh grad apply for job adverts that stated they need working experience? Or no chance at all?

hi guys..i had been called for an interview  by IT company at Singapore..but the problem now, I don't  know whether i can secure the job or not..i don't want to waste my time and money go to Singapore and interview for nothing.. i asked the expected salary and the JD but he did not replied my request instead just asked me to asap go interview there..please advise..

Yo guys. Need some help here. My friend is coming down to SG this weekend for holiday.  Any good backpackers hostel to recommend? As long as the hostel is clean and not situated in the red light district, she won't mind. I remember someone mentioned it before but somehow search didn't come up anything useful.

Try using a UV light in a hotel 81 room and guarantee once looking over that place, you wouldnt want to stay there.

I got an offer with a singaporean co. but I will be working at bintan, indonesia. The downside is they are going to apply for me indonesia work visa. So I am not sure whether is a good offer or not?

They will pay me in SGD
