How much is the charges for OTC instant bank transfer to other bank?

any bank currently still providing IBFT fees waived?

So far Bank islam is waived but already stop starting this month.

Had to do over the counter funds transfer to another bank a few times early this week. Was given only two options. Either IBG or RENTAS only. And RHB Bank limit each OTC IBG to RM100,000 only. So if you need to transfer more than RM100,000, you need to do it multiple times.


- HSBC (only from Advance and Premier account)
- Citibank
- Standard Chartered
- UOB Bank (certain type of account only)
- OCBC Bank (free unlimited instant transfer only through mobile banking until 28th September 2017)

For UOB, it is free for all accounts until 31/12/17. For OCBC, it is also applicable to online banking as well.

According to the T&C, i take it as only IBG and instant tfr performed on the mobile app is free and if perform it via online banking, it will have fee.

Notice on Interbank GIRO: Over-the-counter Interbank GIRO Reimbursement & Fee Standardization [ UOB ]

Over-the-counter Interbank GIRO Reimbursement

Accountholders with Basic Savings Account and Basic Current Account will receive a fee reimbursement for over-the-counter Interbank GIRO to align with one of the fee option available for Basic Account customers which is an entitlement to 2 discounted over-the-counter Interbank GIRO transactions.

There are two (2) types of reimbursement:

1) For customers aged less than 60 years old at point of transaction, reimbursement shall be calculated on the first two over-the-counter Interbank GIRO transacted monthly from October 2013 until May 2017.

2) Senior citizens aged 60 years old at point of transaction from October 2013 to May 2017 shall also receive full over-the-counter Interbank GIRO fee reimbursement, regardless the volume of transaction.

The reimbursement will be credited into the accountholder's account no later than 30 September 2017. The following is an example of how the reimbursement amount is being computed per transaction:

Over-the-counter Interbank GIRO Fee Standardization

In an effort to standardize all over-the-counter Interbank GIRO transactions, we are implementing a fee of RM0.11 per transaction for any Interbank GIRO performed over-the-counter and this applies to Basic Current Account (BCA) and Basic Saving Account (BSA).

The standardized fee shall take effect from 1 August 2017.

Basic Savings Account and Basic Current Account are eligible for protection by PIDM.

OTC Rentas fee in MBB increased from RM5 to RM9 ! Encountered this early this month ! With GST RM9.54.

Not sure if other banks also the same. Before Aug, I know few banks fee for OTC Rentas was RM5.30.
