Banks are not doing charity. You think they want to waste money giving you free IBFT?

The only bank with free IBG is Ambank truesavers. thumbup.gif They don't have IBFT. But who cares. Is still free.
*
Actually Ambank TRUE Savers does not offer free IBG. It is actually AmBank TRUE Transact that offers free IBG.

Other bank accounts that offer free IBG include: -
i) UOB eAccount
ii) SCB JustOne accounts
iii) HSBC Advance account

QUOTE(intrepidity85 @ Dec 31 2015, 04:58 PM)
which bank offer instant transfer for free?
*
i) UOB eAccount
ii) SCB JustOne accounts
iii) HSBC Advance account

my 360 account is unable to do IBTF too..dont know what went wrong
*
Do you have an ATM/Debit card linked to your 360 account? If not, you will not be able to do instant transfer or IBFT.

No ATM/debit card. I am able to do IBG..but not IBFT

Same as me. I have the same issue as well as I do not have an ATM card. I called up customer service & was told the reason was because of that. It makes sense as IBFT runs on MEPS (ATM) network.

*
Really? hmm.gif You are able to do IBFT(Instant Transfer) online without ATM/Debit card with the other banks? I know IBG can but not sure about IBFT. If you are able to do that with other banks, then it is probably OCBC's problem then. I got a 'card number not found' error message when I attempted to do IBFT last time.

Well no difference actually as when you open a truesavers account, one is automatically given a truetransect account too. One just need to move from TS - > TT -> IBG.
*
I am highlighting the fact that only TRUE Transact has free IBG to prevent others from mistakenly thinking that they can IBG directly from TRUE Savers for free.

Anyone tried transferring a higher amount than 10k from Affin recently after the new online limit was introduced? I managed to set a new higher limit but was not able to do the instant transfer with a an amount higher than 10k. I tried a few times and still got an error. Finally, managed to transfer only 10k.

I agree that this info is very useful as well and should be included on the 1st page. I have taken the trouble to format it into a more readable format below and added some info into it: -

you may want to add mybsn with 50k limit to your list.

http://www.mybsn.com.my/content.xhtml?contentId=732

not bad, didn't know that govt bank can be better than ocbc and pbb.
*
Were you able to change your limit to 50k in mybsn? I only saw 10k max inside. I could not find the IBFT option for fund transfer either.

Anyone know for scheduled GIRO transfer, what is the processing time? Lets say I schedule tomorrow transfer, what time it will be processed?
*
QUOTE(kit2 @ Apr 11 2016, 10:53 PM)
depends on the bank. from my past experience, scheduled ibg's were processed at the last batch for the day, ie 5pm, so funds arrived just before midnight.
*
For Hong Leong Bank, the scheduled IBG is performed early in the morning, usually 7 something.

CIMB's Instant Interbank Funds Transfer (IBFT) Fee: RM2.00 @ Internet Banking/Mobile Banking, and RM0.53 @ ATM

CIMB's Interbank GIRO (IBG) Fee: RM0.11 @ Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/ATM, and RM2.12 @ Over-the-Counter (OTC)

This is unbelievable. I thought MEPS already set the ceiling price at RM0.53 for IBFT last year. That was when all the banks reduced the fee to RM0.53. Is CIMB allowed to charge more than the ceiling price? mad.gif

Just checked my CimbClicks. The fees shown inside for online IBFT is still RM0.53. I wonder if there is a mistake in the website. hmm.gif

*
Is 1 of them a conventional account and the other 1 an islamic 1? If yes, you need two CIMBClicks account to perform transaction for each of them. Kinda stupid but that is how it works for CIMB.

I wanted to cancel my debit card from UOB but was told by a branch staff that I need to keep the card in order to continue using my Internet banking. The reason given was so that I can reset the password from the ATM if necessary. Is it true?

I know MBB & CIMB need to link the card with Internet banking, else it won't work. Some banks like OCBC do not need ATM / debit card to use the internet banking but online IBFT won't work.

But based on an earlier post from here, a debit card is not necessary for Internet banking for both UOB and HLB. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

when i first started using uob online banking i didnt have any card.

do you think that's a valid reason? do you need to reset password frequently?

you can also walk into any branch and ask for reset.
*
So you managed to open a savings account without a debit card? Is it the eAccount? When was the last time you did an online IBFT? So far, I never had to reset my password before. I agree that the branch should be able to reset the password too. In that case, I think there is no reason to not let me cancel my card. Thanks for the reply.

Do you have an ATM card? If not, instant transfer would not work for OCBC.

Yes, I am sure. I do not have an ATM card before and I could not perform IBFT online. I called up CS and was told that the reason was because of that. I applied for an ATM card much later and managed to perform IBFT successfully.

Btw, IBFT option is only available on mobile app. The website removed that option quite some time ago due to some issues and the last I checked, it's still not fixed yet.

Wat is the max amt can b trf (via IBG) to non Public Bank a/c on daily basis?

I assume you are asking about online IBG transfer limit, 10k without token, 50k with security token.

Is IBG and IBFT sharing the same daily 30k limit?
eg. if transfer 20k through IBG, there is only 10k quota left for IBFT?
*
Depends on the individual bank. For some, the limit is shared while for others, there is a separate limit for IBG & IBFT.

Hi all,

Does anyone know, if the fund is missing during INSTANT BANK TRANSFER, how long would it take to resolve? How can it be resolved? I really need some advice here. Thanks for the help first.

PS: It's bank to bank transfer ( from one saving account to another bank saving account). Not any bill payment e.g. credit card.

Thanks
*
The best way is to contact the bank's customer service. Try to call again, if still no one picks up the phone, try calling another number. You can also try to email them as well. Check out this link for the contact details. If it still does not work, then pay a visit to your home branch for assistance.

The published rate for IBFT to CASA, Loan Repayment and Credit Card Payment for e account is RM0.53.

Meaning no free IBFT right? But due to UOB extended their promotion of zero cost to 31 Dec 2017, hence it is still free (solely due to this promotion) for this year but unknown for next year right?
*
The RM0.53 fee is for performing IBFT through ATM. For IBFT performed online, it's free not just for this year but for subsequent years as well.
