do you know how long the timing chain can last, and change?
what is the cost to change timing chain?

I thought you need not change the timing chain? Regular rubber timing belt need to be changed at 80k, but not with timing chain. They can last practically forever. PLease correct me if I am wrong

As long you keep it wet with oil all the time, the chain should last a lifetime.

Actually i do think so due to before I have a very very old car with timing chain, never change also. My dad told me timing chain don't need to change, can last very long.
But 1 of my friend told me need to change, just last longer than timing belt only. that's why i wonder.
Then now i think timing chain can last very long if service on time.

No need to change, probably cannot change also! Just keep the oil refreshed and it should be ok.

Trying to get my 'nyek nyek' bushings changed is a headache now due to the upcoming festival. Too many ppl flooding the service centers. Even today at 10am already have 7 cars in queue for service at Senaxis.

Looks like will need to send the car in at 830 and hitch a ride to the office.

Just call up your regular service center and tell that you want to change your suspension bushings due to a problem. They should know about it.

Any authorized service center should do.

actually its quite easy to change, just take off the casing and unscrew the tensioner and the chain will snap out.
They already have markings on the cam shafts and the chain itself, so all u need to do is to match the markings.

Timing belt, we have to use marker to mark the current position otherwise it will go haywire tongue.gif

Added on August 8, 2011, 1:46 pmAccording to the persona thread, seems like we should stay away from senaxis and sin siang....
