Hi all, I was lurking for Inspira last week at proton Autocity Penang. SA offer me 1.8CVT RM 4k discount winthout 5 year waranty and free service with 2.95% interest for 9 years. If without RM4k discount I will get 5 year waranty and free service with 2.8% interest for 9 years. From what I read seem that some of you got better offer. Please advise where is the best place that I can get better offer and anyone know any promotion for other variants 2.0 and 1.8MT?Need help coz this is the first time I'm buying a car.
*
I believe in Proton Batu Caves they offer both discount AND 5 years free service.

Yea, but I din't check it as well doh.gif. Should have checked more thoroughly knowing its Proton and din't expect they would screw up on simple things. Oh well, I told my SA about it he say when I'm free I can come and we'll go SC together to fix it.

Lousy QC.

Anyway, I still have to buy Proton coz other marque are a lot more expensive and I don't really fancy Perodua models.

Even though P2 QC is better, but I find their cars to be significantly overpriced, not to mention the lack of discounts  tongue.gif

Agree. Good day should make you feel good even at high speed. That is why when you ride a good car you hardly notice the speedo go pass 100.

well, if the sales figures for myvi been so damn high mthly/tops the charts, means majority loves it above all models tongue.gif

But we must understand that most people don't buy a car simply because they love it.

Their service always like this, if they said pending from JAPAN, then u know la.
Mean they want want protect their self, slowly do. from JAPAN = u just wait.
biggrin.gif
But really very sad for ur case, wish you good luck.
In malaysia always need to complain to head, else nobody will care about u. nobody will listen you. haha..

I guess you guys with similar issue should create one thread and draw many people to ready it. It will at least light a fire under Proton's @$$ to get the job done.

Guys went to my SC just now ... they said the rattling sound is because of the front stabilizer. I think most of us are using the old front stabilizer. Proton is ordering new ones to change the old stabilizer which will be able to stop the rattling ... NYEK sound or NGEK NGEK NGEK sound. Please call your service centre and ask about this.
*
How come they missed this during testing process.

Just to share with you guys here who are into detailing your own car, smile.gif

I had this unsightly fingernail scratch marks all over the 4 doors handle after 8 months of having the car...and the dirt hiding underneath the handle can be clearly seen if you look properly at yours  tongue.gif ...I have tried to clean the scratches with soap, no luck...it doesn't go away easily sad.gif

After cleaning it with OPC (diluted 1:8 ratio) with simple brushing without any pressure...

The result is clearly magnificent, the unsightly dirt is long gone (basically dissolved by OPC), the same method can be applied to all the hard to reach spots that we cannot clean properly...keeping the car white and new looking... brows.gif

Say, do you drive an Inspira??? Don't ends up like another Kyheng. Ranting online endlessly is useless. It's for wimps. Smart guys complain to the boss and the press.
*
No I'm not. Currently I'm a Perodua user with Alza, Myvi and Viva. But will soon plan to get at least one Proton, either Persona R Turbo or Inspira. But might get myself a Saga 1.6 FLX as a stop gap if the waiting for launching of (a reliable) Persona R Turbo is too long.

BTW, ranting online is to warn others. Sharing (info/issues) is caring, don't you think?

If comments to warn others or sharing of info constructively is ok. What matrix means is kyheng's famous line "Its a proton, what do you expect?" and his other non constructive and non fact supported comments. If you check his comments in all lowyat forums, you will know what we mean. I could be wrong, but cannot be so many ppl.

Thanks for the clarification. Could you share me the link bro? Too lazy to search. biggrin.gif

Sharing info is one thing, but not endless ranting lor.  You must know when to rant and when to take real action.Just ranting will not get you anywhere. Just don't ends up like Kyheng.....sad excuse of a human being...all rants and never own an Inspira.  tongue.gif

As for Campro Turbo, i am still skeptical. Been reading some write up on turbo engine, seems like maintining and driving a turbo engine needs a lot more care than normal aspirated engines. Seriously, i'll rather wait for a while..maybe 2 years at least to see how this Turbo Campro turns out....dun wanna be white mice....with exisitng MIVEC engine, it has already been tested and proven for years....smile.gif
*
For me I can't wait for 2 years (but it is a wise of you to do it, I have to admit) coz need to let go one of the Perodua (probably the Viva) to make way for a better handling car (Proton). At most I can wait for the Turbo to become a reliable one is less than a year. If things doesn't look so good, I might as well go for FLX 1.6 as a stop gap. Inspira would be my 3rd choice.

BTW, I don't anything wrong to rant about Proton's car (not only Inspira) as a sad thing to do. Do remember if all people online just keep quite, do you think Proton would improve as it is today? I also rant about their cars coz I have interest in them (as a potential customer), which I don't think is a sad thing to do.

nakTT: I don't think it'll make any difference whether you search or not. Ultimately we want to make this to be a homely place, where people can freely share, rant and say out their good or bad things without being hentam balik in the face instantly. People should feel at ease, when they face problem they can find a solution by coming here. brows.gif . Even if you're not an inspira owner currently, feel free to drop in if you heard any news or u have any questions to ask or even just to get info abt the car. The taiko taiko here have been very patient with me even though I'm a car noob sweat.gif .

Said that, I forgot to snap pic of my glove compartment when I left for work!  doh.gif

Quick question for those who opted for the 5-year free service during the July's promotion.
1) Do we get some kind of voucher or is it all computerised in such a way we can go to any authorised service center?
2) If we bought it from EON, we can send to Proton Edar for the free service too right and vice-versa?
*
A question from one who does not own Inspira:

Is the 5-Years free service including parts?
