couldnt concentrate much on anything for the past week worrying about this lift, lol. never felt so at peace with myself after completing this.

on another note, weird night tonight. right after i did this, a car caught fire in the parking lot, and on the way back i was almost hit by a cow. not something that happens everyday.  laugh.gif

If you don't mind a noob(who deadlifts way less poundage than you) comment notworthy.gif

I think on the way up and down the bar needs to touch your leg(shin, etc) and you seem unstable on the lift.

was never comfortable touching the shin part, so what i did was to hold it as close to my leg as possible. i -dont- think it matters, really, just a way to keep your center of gravity as stable as possible. might be wrong though

well its a pr attempt, bound to be unsteady, lol. thanks mate!

mike, when you dead lift, do you pull with your back, or do you push up from your heels like a squat (movement of the hip). Because, if you do pull up using your back like in your video, thats why your back is kinda rounding.and I notice when you go down, you tend to keep your hips pretty high up, unless you collapse your back(which causes rounding), you shouldnt be able to go all the way down to the floor. How about, try lowering your hips. I hope you get the picture?

hmmmmm.. i think i mostly pull with my back, except the bottom portion of the lift. lift off is definitely with more hip action. yeah i get what you're saying, shall lower the weight and try again. after this week im going for volume work already heh. enough of sub 5 reps of heavy ass weights.

@mikehuan, welcome to the 2xBW club! smile.gif Your next target will be to chase Kaffatsum deadlift poundage ratio... 2.4 or something... smile.gif. I think even performed raw, his poundage already high... not sure what is his true capability is... need to continue watching his journal (especially after ramadhan). Anyway, good job!

@cyloh, we should not mind taking advice from other (even if their poundage is much lower than us), because... people who failed many times learned a LOT. That is a fact!

Heh... I'm gonna go for 3 double GCB burgers later for lunch. I wonder if they're still selling it. I love weekends. Cheat days are to be appreciated. Not like I eat like that all the time.

No.... Wait.....

I belief they will have double GCB to at least a few weeks after raya. Prosperity is their CNY special, and apparently GCB had becomes their Ramadan and Raya special.
