hye sifus!
after my usual sets of 70-80-90kgs deadlift,
i used straps starting from 80kg because my grip gave out on me.
i tried to deadlift 100kgs. managed to get 3 reps

i know this is light weight to most of you tongue.gif

somehow i feel my form is not that good when i`m going heavy.
so here is the video.
my friend didn't hear me when i said to record from the side doh.gif

so, if u guys could spot my mistakes in this video, please correct me alright. notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

maybe when it's too heavy for people to keep good form but that's bodybuilding. powerlifters would every muscle they can to make the lift even if it's their calves lulz.

what are you talking about?

i mean bodybuilders would want to concentrate on using target muscles to make those lifts, powerlifters would use every muscle they could to make the lift even if it means using their calves for bench press...(that's is if they could)zz
*
actually they can. but to what are you replying to here?

Ok guys. Not good. I couldn't get the 120 pounders up today for dumbbell presses. And my joints are starting to show slight wear and tear. I'm gonna switch to a high rep moderate poundage phase for a while and see how it goes.
*
=.="

well since you're in a whole other lvl altogether, im gonna assume you're doing heavy reps, RIGHT? were you doing shoulder or chest presses and how much rep could you do with those db's? just a matter of time until you can get em up again brah!

/respect to the guys sticking to the lifestyle for so long. even after a relatively short 2 year period i have caught a glimpse on why so many of you guys do it for so long. nowadays if i dont have my routine gym visits i dont know what i would be doing honestly lol. back to gaming? not in this lifetime i would think tongue.gif

I've never play any online games even though peer pressure, No CS,NO DOTA,NO MAPLE etc. My friends said I no life. LOLx. Now i see u guys saying gaming no life. Btw, we should be around same age then. You guys are actually how young?
*
im 28. had been playing WoW (hardcore) for the past 3 years before burning out. been doing weights ever since. seriously man, gaming = no life. you have no idea how much money i saved just by gaming. Come back from work not even time for dinner, played until well past midnight and go back to work a zombie. no time for anything else at all.

its true you can still game, work and lift weights, ive tried going back to gaming about a year ago but its just not a good idea. mmorpg games tend to suck me in =/. Much prefer to hang out with friends, my girl and family rather than sit in front of the pc zombified.

Yes, I prefer social rather than playin games maybe because I always afraid to be alone. Gaming just can't attract me,maybe because I couldn't let myself spending too much on something without enjoying the "benefits". Me and my friends spend exactly same amount, I spend in purchasing weights; He spend in arcade and gaming.Maybe we both have fun our own way, but I will still prefer my way if I'm given a chance to re-choose. rclxm9.gif

mike, is this why u dun like ur brother to repeat the same thing over?
*
when i was gaming, i was still playing basketball quite regularly, so for me it wasnt so bad. my bro doesnt play sports which is quite worrying.
anyways, its his life, i chose my path and had no regrets. he should have an equal chance. live to learn, right?

i was in fact saving more when i played since i didnt do much of anything else, just pay the subscription fee every month.

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Aug 15 2011, 09:24 PM)
I game occasionally. It's great for stress relief and provides my brain with a proper workout (Like split second decisons). Doesn't affect my gymming.

this is very true. driving games are best biggrin.gif

I see. Ok

According to source Forearm is the most neglected part of their program. As it is also important to perform our daily tasks such as opening door knob, brushing teeth, help people to lift heavy stuffs and etc. Yes you are right also. Eventually will link to forearm development by doing dead lifts, shrugs and rows.
*
Most programs don't include forearms because they usually have dl's and rows included. I don't do wrist curls too and my forearms have grown just from heavy dl, shrug and rows like what pedro says

It will be a bonus if you spend a little more time on the neglected part. I exercise a lot  on my forearm cos tennis & badminton some what uses strength. Especially tennis.. Just work on my strength conditioning, a little on bicep and deltoids which is beneficial for my game. That's why one side of my body is bigger and stronger than my other part  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
i think we are working on different goals here haha. most of us do full body workouts and focus more on aesthetics than strength.

I've been checking out that retard's posts in our section. All pathetic attention whoring spamming. He seems like some attention deprived kid. I'm surprised you guys didn't tell him to f*** off straight away. I would have if i was active yesterday.
*
He started harmlessly enough. Spamming became apparent the day before you called him out. Think he was asking about headache, pretty legit...

More like a d*** ache. He's probably jerking off to our avatars while typing at the same time. All useless junk he was posting. Ignoring individuals like this won't work bro. You need to tell them straight they they're company is not wanted. I could see already you, alpha and a few others had fraying tempers. You reported his swearing?
*
Lol. Will do man. Shall be more assertive next time around. This forum is quite newb friendly so didn't wanna say much. If it was t nation or bb.com he would have been blown out of the water fast enough.

Nah wasn't me. Somebody else reported him and apparently posts can only be reported once.

video of me deadlifting 160kgx2 (BWx2). Comments/criticisms welcomed!

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

couldnt concentrate much on anything for the past week worrying about this lift, lol. never felt so at peace with myself after completing this.

on another note, weird night tonight. right after i did this, a car caught fire in the parking lot, and on the way back i was almost hit by a cow. not something that happens everyday. laugh.gif

If you don't mind a noob(who deadlifts way less poundage than you) comment  notworthy.gif

I think on the way up and down the bar needs to touch your leg(shin, etc) and you seem unstable on the lift.
*
was never comfortable touching the shin part, so what i did was to hold it as close to my leg as possible. i -dont- think it matters, really, just a way to keep your center of gravity as stable as possible. might be wrong though

well its a pr attempt, bound to be unsteady, lol. thanks mate!
