Hi guys, yesterday just brought a Poddle for my GF. Last time she rare dogs before but given away to other ppl cos they move to other state. Now that i brought a male poodle for her. The poodle is brown in color and quite fat

. Only 4 months old. Very hyperactive.
My Gf name is Austin. When brought it back and he keep making noise. The shopkeeper said is normal. just let it be don manja it too much. After feed i and GF went out. When i come back the cage got its poo and pee. So my gf took him out and clean him. He runs around and fooling. Then after that i saw him lay on the floor for a few sec. He pees again.

He keep repeating for a few times, not so many time la.

My gf was so annoyed and scold him. But he still running around.
I would like to ask,
1.is poodle normal to pee in the lay down condition for MALE?
2.How to train him to poo and pee inside his cage? I haven clear his dump to let him know to poo and pee there.
3.How many times and quantity i have to feed him? Afraid obesity. My GF feed him 2 small tea spoons of pet food celup with warm water and feed him morning and night. That is what the shopkeeper told her.
4.How to train him not to bite everything? He likes to bite. zzz
5.How to train him to adopt new environment?
Really need some help from poodle expert here.
Thanks
Congratulation on the new baby poodle.

Below is my 2 cent opinions regarding your enquiries:
1. I hope you're referring to pee in squading down position like the adult female dogs, as pee while laying down is a serious problem. It is normal for male puppies to pee in the squad down position, they will only change their position to lifting their leg up as they grow older and turn adult. Anyhow, it is nothing to be concerned of since your puppy is just 4 months old. And personally I have seen female dogs pee lifting one of their legs up.

2. My suggestion is not to train your puppy to pee inside the cage, rather pee on the newspaper or nowadays you can find wee wee pad and wee wee tray for that purpose. The reason I don't recommend you to toilet train him to pee inside the cage being that, it is not hygience and it is hard to clean up after they pee and poo in the cage. Back to the question on how to toilet train. 1st, be persistent and firm with the place you want him to do his business, if you see him sniff and in the squatting down position, tell him in a firm voice and say no, don't make it too complicated for them, like baby, you can't wee wee here, you are a a good boy ok? simple and short with just a no and firm body language, carry him and place him on the place that you want him to pee and poo. And see if he do his business, remember, persistent is the key here. In the market nowdays there are housebreaking spray, which have a scent that attract especially the male dog to pee on that area, but of course, many of claim that it doesn't work on their dog, and 1 of the reason that it doesn't work on them because
3. Normally for puppy below 6 months, I advise you to feed him three times a day, and half glass of kibbles, filled it with hot water and place it on his bowl.
4. For young puppies, they will bite almost everything, and some might even favour cables and expensive furnitures, it can be a headache, give him a toy that make "quacky" sound to chew on.
5. They will adapt to the new environment as they grow, this doesn't need to train them, just talk and play with them when you have got the time, bath and groom them yourself is a good way to create a strong bond in betweeen owner and furkids.
Hope my opinions help, anything can leave us a message again, I'm sure many of the poodle experts here would be glad to help.
