stumbled upon a toy poodle yesterday evening when i was coming back home. The little girl (female) was very lost and just sat right on my car porch. First thought is that perhaps the little fler was lost so bought it inside and gave it some food but it won't eat.
I brought it for a walk to see if the owner are looking for it (it was already quite late around 8 plus cos raining) but couldn't see anyone looking for a dog. In the end brought it back and leash it at the back of house (wet kitchen area) but it was making alot of noise. As i have a house tenant staying at the back of the house thus it's not fair to the guy to suddenly have a dog back there. It was making alot of noise when there's no human around (my landlord don't allow pets inside the house).
In the end had to leash to the front porch. It was barking quite abit when i left her. Went on for 10 minutes then suddenly no sound at all.. came downstairs, the poodle was missing already... i think someone came in from neighbour side and took the dog (main gate is lock but next door neighbour don't lock their gate).
Sigh, perhaps i should've ignored my landlord and kept the poodle in the house. She's so cute and very very well mannered when there's people around. Already wanted to adopt it if there's no owner come up to claim as i'm already moving into my own apartment. Hopefully whoever came in to take the dog is the rightful owner and not some dognapper trying to make a quick score.

hi guys. my partner and i are looking to get a poodle after many years of consideration.. we have a goldie currently living outside house, planning for a poodle to keep inside.
would like to check if poodle's suitable for us. We both work day time so the poodle will be left inside the house.. will do a fenced play area. Question is, will it be ok to leave it alone for 8-10 hours everyday when we're working? Couple of my friends have poodles but their house always have someone at home (either parents or stay home housewife) so can't really get a proper answer.
My concern is as poodles are quite attached to human, will it be stressed or anxious when left alone?.. we'll of course spend time with it when we're back home.
another note, any difference in temperament between male / female? my wife prefers female as she likes to hug poodle and seems to be cleaner? (really??). From what i read, females are more aloof and independent while males are more eager to layan the owner. Is this true in your poodles? We'll be neutering / spaying them as not planning to breed. For females, after spaying will it still have menstrual discharge?
Sorry for the noob questions as all these while i have been having male dogs.. so not so familiar with female dogs.
