QUOTE(debbieyss @ Jul 4 2011, 03:13 PM) Hi gal, I got to reply your post here because the previous thread has to be closed due reaching total 125 pages. i think yee zai's poodle not infected by parvo...it's distemperFirst of all, I suggest you to send your puppy to a vet without further delay. There's no turning if your puppy faces any incidences that can be avoided if there is no procastination. One of the forumers here namely Yee Zai, who had bought a teacup poodle from Cylos Quah, infected by parvo virus but he sent the poodle to a vet and eventually the poodle was totally cured. Secondly, there is a forumer here named Rachel whose puppy also infected by parvo virus and she is doing a report with the aids from SPCA. You may want to contact her and check if her the progress. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1543004?author=Rachel2011 Thirdly, if convenient, you may want to take some pictures of your puppy whenever he shows symptoms of sickness. I myself haven't seen any of Cylos' sick poodles, only read some testis from the forumers here, so I might not be the suitable person to sue Cylos. I can only give some comments. But if you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask around here, we'll try our best to help. |

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jul 24 2011, 09:19 PM) After an extensive research on having a puppy, I'm planning to get a toy poodle for my wife since she prefers a toy instead of miniature. Why poodle is also because of the minimal shedding of fur since I have an asthmatic issue. These r million-dollar questions.. Now the question is I read alot about not purchasing from puppy millers, know where to get a MKA certified puppy etc.. I am kind of lost to where to look for one. Can anyone advice where I can look for a reputable breeder or should I go and look at the shops instead? I also notice toy poodles are hard to come by, usually are mini poodles. i think no one will ask u to go look for one in petshops. One of the reasons we buy from a reputable breeder..no wait...there r many interpretations of this term (resellers/suppliers who get their pups from various home-breeders, home-breeders who make breeding their own poodles as business and just poodle owners who happened to hv puppies for sale) IS to be able or hope to see the puppies' parent(s) to so-called gauge the size of the puppy when it grows up. And MKA is only useful when u wanna show the poodle in the show ring or wanna know if they pure bred. It does not guarantee the puppy having all the right breed standards. I have seen many MKA certified toy poodles which turned out to be mini sized or having short legs. It's true that the poodle breed is a hypoallergenic one...my poodle son slept with my newborn and my nose-sensitive hub has no prob living under the same roof with hmmm...let me count...7 poodles at the moment... There r too much to learn now w/o actually having the puppy in hand...some things, we learn thru trial n error. EVeryone has his 1st time too. But 1 important thing is u need to be ready to fork out substantial amount of money for poodle maintenance ie: grooming, health care, food |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Aug 2 2011, 09:25 PM) Hey Chris, I wanna ask you something. haaa...i got no experience in this wo. Not many brands have kibbles specially for senior dogs. Have u checked how much protein a senior dog needs? If it doesnt vary too much from adult food, then can we just stick back to adult food and maybe reduce its portion? What abt kibbles for weight management ah? hmm...i really hv no idea on this. But i think if u want both gals to share the same food, u cant buy a specific-condition one i think...coz that might affect Autumn's growth?Currently I fed A&J with F4D (morning) and chicken meat at night. Then I realize that Jasmine is consider senior now since she's 6yo and autumn turn 3 soon. I know there are kibbles that is good for senior as in low in protein, etc. I've been thinking to switch them back to fully raw but I need some back up in case I need to board them thus I fed them both raw and kibbles. But my concern is that, is F4D consider to have 'high' protein for senior dog? I'm thinking to find good kibbles for senior dog (except Go!) for Jasmine and is it okay if autumn share the food as well? since I can't possible have 2 differents kibbles stock at home >< Too many brands are coming out now and its really headache to choose a kibbles that is good for them. and some doesn't have small bites either -.-" |

QUOTE(JXplod @ Aug 3 2011, 12:43 PM) hi liann, i been feeding max canine caviar too. btw how old is qiqi? since going for lamb. ^^ so far poo also easy to pick up, but max is water machine , once finish his meal, will drink like no tomorrow. then pee like no tomorrow.. ><"" Food for thought1. small pieces of dried poop; does it mean not enuf water intake? I hv 5 kids on fish4dogs kibbles but ONLY milo has this condition and he drinks quite a lot of water a day too. 2. poo 4-5 times a day; does it mean indigestion. When my son was on Addiction Kangaroo, he berak 5x a day. I wont say indigestion coz he did display smooth shiny fur being on this brand. HOwever, many other furkids on the same brand experienced having pimples at the sanitary area and strong pee smell or wat we chinese call it 'salty'. 3. drink a lot of water after each meal; does it mean the food is salty? just like when humans drink a lot after eating food laced with MSG? |

QUOTE(bulgarianrose @ Aug 4 2011, 04:24 PM) guys, my poodle don wan to eat kibbles after bring back from boarding. U din bring his kibbles along for boarding? how come he got to eat wet food then?i bring him to vet check twice already, doctor said he is fine, maybe he start picky already. i giv him wet food, he like to eat, but kibbles no, i try to change new brand stil don wan, but any wet food he wil eat help me this is a very troublesome prob to solve. It mainly depends how well u can tolerate starving him until he eats his kibbles again. Otherwise, r u willing to give him wet food or cook him meals? btw, how old is ur poodle? almost 1 or slightly after 1? |
