TO ALL FELLOW PPLYNC MEMBERS WHO ARE DRIVING PERSONA ELEGANCE:
If you have ever experienced sounds (tak tak tak tak tak) coming from your engine during cold start in the morning, then it MAY BE one of the infamous Proton's manufacturing defect: the IAFM problem. IAFM noise is most noticeable during cold start, and you may hear the frequency of the noise going up or down depending on the RPM that the engine is running at. The noise is identical to a diesel truck or lorry's engine idling noise. Once the engine has warmed up, the noise will become softer or totally eliminated. This is because the plastic components on one of the valves on IAFM expands with heat. Below is a video of a member's car with IAFM problem.
So far the problems that may be associated with IAFM noise are nothing major, but in certain cases it may cause severe throttle lag, and the noise may get louder over time. Some owners have even experienced increase in fuel consumption and bad engine response.
If you visit the service centre and the mechanic or service attendant tells you that the noise is not caused by IAFM as our Persona Elegance comes with new batch of IAFM modules, DO NOT believe what they said.
You may: 1.) Ask them to diagnose and tell you what exactly is the problem since they insisted that it's not IAFM module noise. 2.) If the mechanics at CoSE tell you that the noise is not caused by IAFM, go to a few different SCs, have them to check your IAFM module for imperfections on the valve, then get them to write a report each. Compile these reports & bring it to CoSE's customer service and file a complaint, give it to their higher authority.
Now, do remember that they may not be able to figure the noise out if you send your car to SC as the engine has already warmed up. Park your car and leave it there for an hour or so for the engine to cool down, then get the service attendant or mechanic to listen to the noise as you start the engine.
Again, I would like to stress on this main point as I've experienced this myself and wasted almost a month plus before sending it to a different SC just to have the noise diagnosed as IAFM problem; If the guys at CoSE tells you that it's not IAFM problem but your guts and 13 other SCs tell u that it is, then it IS IAFM problem. In my case they never even bothered to check as the engine has already warmed up and the sound was gone by the time the mechanic laid his hands on my car.
This serves as an important announcement to all Persona Elegance (PE) owners as to not overlook this small issue that may lead to greater problems in the future. The price of IAFM modules has dropped since year 2009 (from RM 1200+ in late 2008 to RM 2xx in 2011) because of the frequency of Campro IAFM engines having this problem. Still, it's our right to claim the IAFM modules as they are covered under warranty and malfunctioned units are manufacturing defects. We should not wait till the warranty period is over and then pay them RM300+ including labour to fix a defect that is there from day 1 of ownership of the car itself.
I hope all the Persona Elegance owners out there take note of this issue and do not keep an eye closed.

when service, before the oil finish dripping he ald close the nut, then i told him to remove n let it drip for few more minutes.
pls avoid this SC at all cost. wat can i get from them as compensation arr?
Common Problem in Persona

Problem 1: Knocking sound when cornering on uneven surface coming from Front RHS Causes: This is due to the power steering fluid delivery piping knocking against the metal pipe and the body underneath it as the uneven road causes it to twitch up and down. OLD Pipe (left) vs New Pipe (right) [attachmentid=1911676][attachmentid=1911677]
Solution: Proceed to Proton SC to claim warranty for Power Steering fluid assembly. Claims are FOC, including the power steering fluid. Parts list they will change for this new power steering assembly. 1)Tube B - PW828913N 2)Tube A - PW828914N 3)Hose Return - PW828915N 4)Rubber Hose - PW820961 5)Clip Pressure - PW820962 6)Orifice Valve - PW895228
Problem 2: Radio hangs/not responsive while driving and no buttons seems to response to press. Causes: The RDS function is scanning for a clearer frequency. Due to different frequency for the same radio station overlapping certain areas while driving, this causes the radio to re-tune the station. Solution: Turn off the RDS function loh. Go read the manual on how to do it.
Problem 3: Klock klock sound coming from the rear seat. (Not applicable for B-Line ) Causes: The foldable rear seat hook has a bit of free play. Solution: Wrap some thick cushion type double sided tape to the hook.
Tips for Persona Users (To be Updated)

1)Most SC uses Petronas engine oil. To use other engine oil, exp Shell Helix HX-7, its recommended to go to authorized service outlets instead. 2)Stock brake pads are softer than Sponge Bob. Recommendation is to change it to ceramic brakes. Better performance and lesser dust. Best Form Ceramic Nao cost just RM63 for a set of front pads. Can get from forummer Kelvin (if im not mistaken).
Tires Most silent = Primacy LC, slightly poor grip on wet roads (a tradeoff for less noise). Dry Grip High Performance = Bridgestone Potenza RE001, Toyo T1R (A wee bit noisier than RE001) Wet Grip High Performance = Yokohama S-Drive, Pirelli P Zero (Rare)
Help to calculate FC Register at http://www.fuelly.com/ and post it in ur siggy. Maybe in the next Version of the thread we can reserve the 2nd post for FC monitoring by forumers.. Or another ideal way to calculate is to 1) Fill full tank petrol and reset trip meter 2) Drive car like mad fella or slow like aunty.. 3) When u need to refill the tank (no matter is only used half tank only or use till no more petrol in tank), top it back up to full tank (remember to note down how many litres filled in, using the price instead is subjective as petrol price fluctuates up and down and may affect future comparison). 4) Jot down mileage from previous full tank till refill and reset trip meter again. 5) Calculate (FC= Total mileage/Litres filled to top up back to full tank). 6) Post it up onto our club here for comparison. State ( XX% city driving / YY%highway) in XX KM/L format..

Nope u cant.. I tried to cucuk my ipod nano and it wont read directly from the memory. However u can use an aux line in to connect the 3.5mm out into the HU input.. Then u play directly from the ipod.. U need to crank up the volume quite high though to listen.. Our HU only reads FAT16/32 sector formats..

It's for you to plug in a Thumbdrive or any mp3 player that can work like a thumb drive(those who support Drag and Drop) to work. So it does not support mp3 player literally.

Yea that's fine, cos the compressor switches off & on on a less regular basis. Ever wondered why our Aircond is colder when the car is moving?

same here. mostly i will just put it one 1st or 2nd. the aircond is seriously the best. but my pe bought back less then 2 weeks the tinted that came along with the car so fast come out bubble already.

Dude, u need no workshop for that. The air filter is simply plug & play, can be done while u're having breakfast, lunch, dinner, during ur quick break, or when u're having sex in the car (I know this came across in ur mind when u first chose the PE ), etc, while the spark plugs can be installed at any tyre shop for a small fee.

Strip it off & stick a new one lah... original tint is useless....

make sure you tint dark enough in case having sex in your car came into your head again... i know penang got lotsa good spot for that

Erm i dont have back brakes one.. I only have front pads.. But H line braking power is very sufficient.. Tried SamWongs car b4.. Feels totally different than B/M Line.. Filter have to wait for next bulk.. So far not many request for it yet. Mb next mth only start the next bulk lah..

I no siham to makan ady leh.. Need to get a new siham asap.. Ride upgrade can be done one i get a new job.. But for the time being I cant stop modding my car.. A lot of my schoolmates are looking up to me.. haha.. I come down to JB ady non stop helping my friends here and there to do minor mods for Kelisas, Cefiros.. And my car convinced 2 of my friends on the spot to buy a PE ady.. Just brought them out for some fun in Jb in the night.. XD .. They were totally sold over the Myvi..

LOl yeah.. The saga BLM fella.. haha.. Its not the amount of airbags that counts.. For example the E60 5 series have 8 airbags.. 2 in the front a pillars, 2 in the c pillars, 2 in the front for drivers and co driver, 2 more dunno where.. probably for the knee..
The current F10 5 series only have 6 airbags.. 2 in front.. 2 at the back and 2 covering the whole side from A-C pillar.. The bigger airbag is more cost effective in replacing and also provides better coverage.. I saw the F10 airbag after being deployed (the test drive car got into a major accident with a perdana), the side airbag (curtain airbags) covered the whole car side from front to back.. So it protects u from shattered glasses too..

Last friday service for 10K use Castrol EDGE 5W-40 very nice pickup and smooth accelerate , the service as promised completed between 1 hour but the waiting time for SA to check the car still need 30min because all SA busy . b4 this i use castrol magnatec, yes it was nice.. currently im using mobil2000, seems to feel castrol magnatec is better..
The roadshow is currently running at Mid Valley Megamall until tomorrow, June 19, and from there it will proceed to Gurney Plaza in Penang on July 1–3, AEON Tebrau City Shopping Centre in Johor Bahru on July 22–24 before returning to the Klang Valley at One Utama Shopping Centre on August 11-14.

I think this is a common problem in our elegance , mine also came out after few months after taking my car . Every time I push it back in after a few drives it POP back out . Any 1 else has this problem ?

wa gila wei my 10K service only RM40.xx wind screen washer and antibact. included, Plus i buy my own Fully Syhntetic engine oil RM165 total only RM205.xx
The magnet trap theorically trap all the metal leftover of the new engine....but in really its already trapped in the filter liao, why want to put it there some more, I also scratch my head.
If fuel injection cleaner added....totally unnecessary....its a darn new car, what is there to build up in there....
Does CoSE do the same? I'm going there 2molo for my 1st 1K FOC service and fixing some of those darn noises all over the car..

Yea CoSE also would recommend you MagnaTrap. But it's up to you to buy it lo. Normally new car owners they hear it will protect your engine they surely buy wan. But if you know your stuffs then u can forego it

oh btw, anyone noticed that PE actually have noisier radiator fans compared to the older version??? sitting inside them when the fans start spinning can really tell its definitely louder than the older version. I think because of the two fans.
and another thing, i noticed gen2's fan is quieter too.... i am tempted to have mine swapped with gen2's radiator fan blade so that its quieter.
what do u think?

COSE also will recommend the magnatrap etc etc.. Just see which are the basics things for the services in the first post and stick to that only. Ur 1k is FOC for labour only.. Unless urs is Hline with the free service coupon.

Semi synthetic oil change every 5000KM, fully synthetic oil change every 10000KM, if 1k KM you use Fully synthetic then you will miss the 5k free service or you drain away the expansive fully synthetic oil and pour in new oil during 5k service again

Not all metals can be trapped by magnet since some are not magnetic, and even if they do they probably be washed down into the engine by other force anyway. Anyway the metals don't come out in big chunks so they probably gonna get collected inside the engine oil so flushing the engine after run in period should solve the problem.

Last time i had the powersteering changed took the mechanics like 5-6 hours.

Nah, the power steering ASSEMBLY is not gonna take that long. At most 15-20 mins to replace.
Regarding the steering audio buttons that u mentioned, it's a wiring problem.. Bring it to SC to have them check it as well..

I do have this problem, I complain for a few time during service. At last they changed a new set for me. Now working fine.
Your problem always happen or sometimes happen? I'm thinking of putting in an AUX input i hear it's tricky removing the headunit but i think more to do with wiring?

My problem solved. Last time after they dissamble the buttons and put it back still have problem after the service. Now they changed the whole new set for me. Now no problem already. Using more than 2 months.
Btw u try to press ur HU mode see got AUX or not. cos if don have AUX mode, no point adding AUX input. I am driving old batch Persona Medium line. So don have AUX at HU. i dono for PE.

Old one don't have AUX but there's a connection for CD changer which you can connect a earphone jack to it provided you have the right sized pin.

Thy don change the HU for me, thy just change the new steering buttons for me. Last time i forget to snap a photos on the problem one. The problem steering button, got 2 wires stack with each other cos too long and when they assemble in with the steering, the wires actually touchs each others. So the buttons functions all run out. Last time i complain, thy only disammbel the whole things, shake the wire and put it back. Then the problem comes after i leave the SC.
The new one they show me is the steering buttons wire are all ngam ngam (fit fit), so they won touch each other. Problem solved.
Regarding on the warranty that proton gives is 2 years or 50,000km mileage which ever comes 1st. If ur car reached 2 years before 50k mileage, then no more warranty, or vice-verse. Correct me if i am wrong.
The bank won extend your warranty, is the insurance agency who are the one that extend your warranty, if i am not mistaken is 3 yrs. Meaning to said that, if your car got problems after proton provided warranty, you insurance agency will cover the cost for you. That is what i heard from the SC that i always visit.
You can check you warranty status by referring to the SA which u brought your car. But i recommended Proton Edar.
He lost an ipod, a macbook air and a GF. LOL next time lock the door while playing ma, or go for hotel. Damn, he can buy so exp stuffs but cant offer to get a room.

Supercharge very difficult leh.. Not enough ppl with experience here and superchargers are very rare and expensive.. To get a supercharger u need to get one that can perfectly align with the crankshaft in cam-tak-pro engine..

any of u use garmin? any idea how to avod those sawah padi area or road that no 1 go? that day i drove my persona and miss out a turn. then it showed me a shortcut which i followed. went to a sawah padi area. the paddy field on my left and on my right is a big river. scary... the road is very uneven. lucky i am droving my persona. if kancil i can terbalik liao..haha
Not all metals can be trapped by magnet since some are not magnetic, and even if they do they probably be washed down into the engine by other force anyway. Anyway the metals don't come out in big chunks so they probably gonna get collected inside the engine oil so flushing the engine after run in period should solve the problem.
so meaning SC add a magnetrap to engine?

U can set road avoidance in the avoidance menu.. u can avoid small roads, trunk roads,alleys etc etc..

Yesterday sent my car to COSE. I would say i am impress with the waiting area. Looks better than Honda SC.
Anyway, i complaint a few thing on my PE.
1. Air Bag light sometime on when driving.. kenot be retrified by COSE as they said they found no fault using their diagnostic tools. They told me that when next time got the lights on, then straight drive there and they will check immediately. No appointment needed
2. Klok Klok sound under steering wheel when go over rough road they fixed it by changing 7 items below. 1)Tube B - PW828913N 2)Tube A - PW828914N 3)Hose Return - PW828915N 4)Rubber Hose - PW820961 5)Clip Pressure - PW820962 6)Orifice Valve - PW895228 7) ATF9 Oil
3. Mild metal grinding sound in driver door. they fixed it by trimming the door. Not sure what it means but didnt hear any metal grinding sound so far.
4. Dashboard L/H side got nyek nyek sound they said fixed it but the sound still there. Anyway, i can live with it.
5. Boot gap different from left and right. Left hand side big gab while right hand side small gab. Senget they bring to body dept and get it fixed. Not 100% same both left and right but a lot better. Now boot seems to open more lightly. Dunno if it's inter related or not
Overall quite satisfied with the outcome la except the airbag thingie. Hope the next time it shows up again, i got the time to drive there to show them.

i thought it's base on how much you wanna insure your car... ie.like say you want to insure your car for 50k, then your premium is 2k, say you want insure for 30k, then your premium is lower. You can only do this at post office...
then when shiet happens, you can only claim up to the sum you insured lo...

The oil filter is not the problem. It's the engine oil that u need to check & be aware of. The oil filter is made to last up to 20k KMs, so no fret on that. Synthium 5000, what's the rating?
Zeng, i dont understand the steering problem leh..
Its not a prob.. iTs just more to a design defect.. When the car goes through a bumpy road or when u turn right or left on a bumpy road the power steering tube flex and knocks against the body. There is no damage done, but the sound can be annoying if u are sensitive to these kinds of sound.. But the replacement is a rubber hose which doesnt produce any sound.. In the long run rubber will degrade as we all know and might cost problem in the future..

Its not a prob.. iTs just more to a design defect.. When the car goes through a bumpy road or when u turn right or left on a bumpy road the power steering tube flex and knocks against the body. There is no damage done, but the sound can be annoying if u are sensitive to these kinds of sound.. But the replacement is a rubber hose which doesnt produce any sound.. In the long run rubber will degrade as we all know and might cost problem in the future.. Nope.. Defects are warranty claims.. So they shd not charge u anything to replace it . Manyak canteekkk.. i thought it's base on how much you wanna insure your car... ie.like say you want to insure your car for 50k, then your premium is 2k, say you want insure for 30k, then your premium is lower. You can only do this at post office...
then when shiet happens, you can only claim up to the sum you insured lo...

OLD ma... but not that bad actually... just that not many mechanics know how to fix only... just like proton service center that don't know how to service proton...
Cos diablo have aerodynamic problem.. Ones u go fast ur front actually creates more lift than downforce. Then u ended up like a Myvi speeding through corners later..

The oil filter is not the problem. It's the engine oil that u need to check & be aware of. The oil filter is made to last up to 20k KMs, so no fret on that. Synthium 5000, what's the rating?

Thanks brothers! The Syn 5000 is fully synthetic, 0W-40 API SM. It was a major service, so I'm broke now.

good morning guys.. i want recommendation best lock protection..i stay in flat apt, so any good lock should i use??
There are 2 types of deterent. The very visible one that locks your steering (never like them, can scratch steering and dashboard) but quite useless as it can be easily overcome by removal of steering (yes, car thieves can do that easily) or just the steering (easier to cut that than the lock). Some ppl mentioned if cut steering, lower value of car but lots of car thieves disassemble cars and sells them for parts unless its those luxury models.
The one I find the most effective (although cannot stop a pro), is still the permanent brake lock like locktech. No need space to store (unlike steering lock), easy to pull and unlock (convenient) thus chances are, you'll use the lock almost everytime you park (unlike steering lock, sometime we just forgo when we short of time, too troublesome). Its much harder to remove than steering lock as you have to bend or lie down on the floor to attempt to disable or remove them. Those double lock and ignition disable brake lock like locktech takes even more time to do it....so car thieves, unless having ample time and hidden view, most likely will abandon attempt for easier target..

For FOC service 1K, 5K, 10K and 20K for H-Line e-voucher, CoSE used Semi-Syn Syn 800 10W40. Problem is the missing 15K service coz if semi-syn was used, 15K have to service and pay abt RM160++.
CoSE allows upgrade of semi to fully Syn 1000 15W50 by paying price difference at 10K and 20K. Problem for me is its still a 50 weighted oil. I wanted W40 (Syn 3000) but CoSE only have Syn 1000.
Not worth to bring own oil coz FOC engine oil will be wasted, so have to choose to either use semi or upgrade fully at CoSE.
So it is better to upgrade at 10K to heavier fully 1000 15W50 (next serv 20K) or remains at lighter semi 800 10W40 (till next serv at 15K)? Which is better for the engine.

i ask about the locktech, one shop want to chop me with RM490.
then said got another brand, buatan melexia Locktact copy locktech one - RM350.

Why don't u bring ur own engine oil, & request them to give u back the free Petronas Synthium oil so that u can use for ur minor service after 20k? It's free & it's in the package anyway, they cannot say no & don't wanna give it to u..

FOC oil can be sell off to other people. Both option also OK. If second option, just change the engine oil at outside with semi syn (15K). Up to you lo.

However I'm worried abt any long term wear and tear damage thru this switch....is it just a myth, nay saying or its actually for real?

No, it doesn't cause any substantial problem.. But u must check whether there are any sludge buildups from ur previous use of mineral oil as mineral oil is thicker (that's why u feel ur engine produce less power, more vibration & noisier). So yes, it's just a myth.

If I used fully, I'm not going to switch back to semi thus the dilemma in keeping the semi for 25K..
Yes, I'm using stock on engine all along, no mod at all except for structural mod (strut, GC, etc). I've been using Honda Mineral SL 10W30 until abt 60K (play safe), then switch to Idemitsu SM 10W30 until 80K (play even safer cause Honda Mineral also idemitsu but old formula).
Finally used Idetmitsu Fully 5W30 at 80K. Idetmitsu oil pretty good quality and clean even for mineral but quite expensive. Save money mah and all along my engine perform silently and quite powerful as attested by one experience City club member. Only recently it tends to vibrate a little bit more....so switch to fully.
Will asked the mechanic to check if the fully oil dirty or not on next service (probably 6K-7K mileage), yes play safe again as even the mechanic (ex-Honda) mentioned fully by right should also change at 5K but can drag abit for cost saving...

can pm me the location, ur confirm is Locktect not Locktact-copy cat. coz the shop i visit, he show me 2, it look the same but the quality diff!!
I know the boss and been using his service for near to 6 years liao when he first open shop there. Quite honest.
So I don't think he will cheat me. Anyway I asked him before, he says its definitely real and mentioned the local ones are cheaper but he usually installed locktech. The original locktech metal finishing is much smoother especially around the edge and throughout entire body. So far mine looks original with smooth finishing.
So far my Civic and Persona double lock is very smooth to pull and release. In case, my keys also has Thai word imprinted on it (not sticker, its punch in wan). So assume its of Thai make.

That's normal lah. Especially if u go on highway a lot at night. All kinds of bugs can get sucked into ur air intake & get trapped at the air filter. Imagine if u use K&N instead.. Lower filtration higher flow.. All the bugs get sucked into ur engine to provide extra combustion power

best and most difficult lock for the theives to dismantle is brake lock.. the brake lock is secured against the chassis of the car.. and when its pulled up in lock position its nearly impossible to take it off in ashort time and without cutting anything.. furthermore the brake pedal is one of the hardest metal in the car, compared with the hollow steering which can be cut through easily.. so the best is to install a brake lock and a gear lock lah.. haha..

CoSE allows upgrade of semi to fully Syn 1000 15W50 by paying price difference at 10K and 20K. Problem for me is its still a 50 weighted oil. I wanted W40 (Syn 3000) but CoSE only have Syn 1000.
Not worth to bring own oil coz FOC engine oil will be wasted, so have to choose to either use semi or upgrade fully at CoSE.
So it is better to upgrade at 10K to heavier fully 1000 15W50 (next serv 20K) or remains at lighter semi 800 10W40 (till next serv at 15K)? Which is better for the engine.
the 40/50 is not the weight of the oil.. its the index for the change of oil viscosity.. the higher the number, the more resistant is the oil to change its viscosity at high temperature.. So the higher the number, the more lesser the drop of viscosity at higher temp.. the lower the number the thinner the oil will become at higher temp.. too high index then the car will feel heavier at op. temp cos the oil is thicker.. lower index then the engine will feel lighter cos the oil becomes thinner at higher temp..

Got another question on oil. On my City I switched from idetmitsu mineral 10W30 directly to idemitsu fully 5W30 at 80K mileage. Then read some where saying if used mineral for long time, its not good to change to fully as can damage engine. So far my engine seems to run better, more power, less vibration, more silent than previously. However I'm worried abt any long term wear and tear damage thru this switch....is it just a myth, nay saying or its actually for real?

higher index 50 gives u more protection, at the expense of slightly higher fc and slight loss of power.. 40 index gives u slightly lower protection for the wear and tear than 50 but better fc and power..

So I don't think he will cheat me. Anyway I asked him before, he says its definitely real and mentioned the local ones are cheaper but he usually installed locktech. The original locktech metal finishing is much smoother especially around the edge and throughout entire body. So far mine looks original with smooth finishing.
So far my Civic and Persona double lock is very smooth to pull and release. In case, my keys also has Thai word imprinted on it (not sticker, its punch in wan). So assume its of Thai make.

It's the motorcyclist's fault. The right lane is a high speed lane, it's not meant for slow cruising bikes. I hate bikers that do that.
When its locked. Those double lock ones have another keyhole beside the original one. So if u want to unlock the brake lock u need to unlock the lever first, then only unlock the main gear lock.. [attachmentid=2264054]
New generation of security key.. Prevents thief from using bumpkey to unlock it.. Some of the keys are partly censored for protection. [attachmentid=2264058]
Basically all of these brake lock comes with ignition kill switch.. So if u didnt unlock the brake lock u cant start the engine.. And it cant be easily bypassed with removing the dashboard cover. There are a lot of safety features on how tamper proof this brake lock is lah.. But the main point is to create inconvenience. The more troublesome it is the more time u buy from the thief, the more they wont steal ur car.. And once installed and brake lock engaged u cant remove the brake lock.. So no need scared if they remove the whole thing if u were to locked it..

U gotta admit, one of the major accident causes on Malaysian roads are motorcyclists. And if they adhere to the rules and don't do stupid things, we wouldn't be so angry & violent now, would we?

Works well but the same harder spring really not so nice to pull when compared with the very easy to pull Locktech. Besides only RM70 difference, Lochtech can get 2nd lock for added protection, ingnition cut-off for 3rd level protection. So IMO, unless you're short of budget (no choice lar), getting locktech will be a better deal.

rm580 for the extractor alone. Improve overall torque, tested on Xan's ex car b4... very powerful, it can overtake a stock PE easily even the stock PE is on full throttle on a hilly road somemore...

Usually for people who wishes to have a few hp 'derestricted' from their car but not willing to change extractor, they remove the cat-con & replace it with standard piping. This way u may be able to get up to 2-3 HP extra with our car, but that's about it. Not as effective as replacing the whole extractor.

Yes, but which part of the air filter are u cleaning? top or bottom? If u flush the water from top, the dust will all stick at the sides of the air filter n trapped there. If u flush from bottom, the dust is flushed out together with the water.

It is pain my 3 week baby hit by stone..
i go to windscreen repair shop they said not need repair because only small dot...
but pitty to my PE... need advice any posible to repair the windscreen....
If it's stone chips, then it's ok. But if it's small tiny crack, DON'T ever ignore it!! The crack may get bigger & longer as our weather here in Malaysia is really hot.. There are many ways if u really wanna repair it. One, u bring it to the windscreen repair shop that's willing to repair for you. Two, get the glass-repair glue from hardware shop & fix it yourself.

Go to ACE hardware shope buy those windscreen repair kit around RM60 a pack to diy. MY also got stone chip but it was very small, i only notice when i wash my windscreen very clen and clear during daytime, but i just ignor it....

Apparently the air bag symbol light up again... Straight drive to COSE and ask them to diagnose at once. They manage to check the fault. So they change Clock Spring. Ask them are they sure is that fault and they say cant confirm cause my case like chipsmore. Now you see, now you dun. Anyway, they ask me to go there is the problem still persist.

U didn't knw about this problem? It was in Gen2s and Satria Neos, I'm surprised it made it's way into Personas now. The faulty clock spring will become faultier everytime u make a full revolution/turn with the steering wheel, and it may cause the airbag to deploy by itself.

I couldn't agree more.
Mine is single lock with the ignition cut.. To be honest the ignition cut is only done by disconnecting the original socket and fixing a Y-socket to it.. It can be easily rewired.. The double lock for the brake lock is honestly not much of a help due to the same key being able to open both locks, therefore if u are a good lock picker u will know how to pick the next lock easily.

I install it somewhere near the holiday plaza there.. There are a few rows of new triple storey sholots opposite the Vaanavil indian restaurant there.. One of the shop name is Excellent Accessories.. Go there then say JMM 1888 recommended u to go there.. RM250 for single lock DFender Lock brand like mine. The Locktact is RM280. Tmr i find the address and PM u lah..

Flush from top to bottom.. Cos the airflow is from the bottom going up.. The dirt are stucked on the bottom of the filter.

Normally if its a chip its ok.. Not worth repairing.. Use some toothpaste and rub the chipped place hard under some shade and make sure ur windscreen is not hot.. Then the chip will become nearly invincible.. After a few years go buy windscreen insurance cover.. Then sent to those Cermin shop that can claim windscreen insurance one.. They know how to make some 'accident' happens and claim a new one for u.. Make sure to include tint when u apply for windscreen insurance.. Say cover the tint for RM600.. Then u go shop retint only around RM150 like that.. Balance for ur pocket money loh.. haha..
