Got back from work around 6:30PM yesterday (21 June) and found out that my internet is down. However VOIP and IPTV works fine.

I thought it's another case of 'connection hang' (where the system thinks you're still connected when you're actually not) that requires a connection reset from their end.. so I called the unifi tech support. Took forever for someone to pick up the phone.

Upon further inspection the CS told me that there is actually no connection from my end, but the signal is okay and there seemed to be no problems.

The guy asked me the usual; is this light on the modem, is that light blinking, etc. Told him everything appears to be normal, and that I'm only using my own router and the DIR615 as a vlan bridge. He didn't quite understand the meaning of that; he asked me if am I using TPLINK. I told him that I'm using another router. So he asked me to try with the DIR615 alone on default settings. Told him that I'd have to call him again since it's not a straightforward thing.

So I configured the DIR615 to TM's stock setting (minus remote management) to use it as the main router and there's still no internet. The signal appears to be fine under Maintenance > System Check.

Called the tech support again and this time it took like 20 mins for someone to pick up the phone, motherf***ing TM I tell you.
The lady noticed that my unifi voip line is a bit noisy and asked me whether this just happened or what; I told her it's been like this since quite a while, I rarely use the line and I think it's my old aztech phone.

Explained to the lady everything, again I was asked questions like am I using a TPLINK router, when I told her I'm using a Buffalo she asked how long have I been using it with the vlan bridge setup and asked to do standard things like re-entering my username and password.. lol. I told her that I've done all that.
She said all this will be included in the report.

I even told her what the log in the DIR615 says:
QUOTE
PPP: .
Jan 1 02:14:07 PPP: Connection terminated.
Jan 1 02:14:01 PPPoE: Received PADS for session1. (Session ID: 1d45)
Jan 1 02:14:01 PPPoE: Sending PADR for session1.
Jan 1 02:14:01 PPPoE: Received PADO for session1, from (mac address).
Jan 1 02:14:01 PPPoE: Sending PADI for session1.

This will repeat everytime the router tries to connect. As expected the CS doesn't understand the meaning of this.
She finally said that the problem will be escalated to their network team. I also got a report number.

Around 1 hour later I got a call from TM on my mobile.
The first thing that the guy asked me is about the VOIP phone. He asked me to check because they have tweaked some settings from their end. I checked and true enough the noise is no longer there. The internet however is still down. I was told that they're still checking it from their end and they would call me to follow up.

I went to bed and woke up around 2.30AM just now and yeah the connection is finally back up. Checked the log on the DIR615 and it appears the connection returned at 2:15AM.

Just got unifi installed this morning.

Got back home from work, rebooted the router and now I can't connect to the internet anymore.

Called the helpline, retrieved my account password to reconfigure the router, but still unable to connect to the Internet.

Seems like some users are experiencing this problem as well a page back. So I'm wondering, how long does this last?

im the same as yours but yours is worst

got unifi installed few months ago,can use on that day but disconnecting sometimes
not even a week, internet is down.need to call unfi
they fix ,few weeks after that..down
it fix .. few weeks later ..down again until now .
the problems is the same .i dunno why they still can't fix it permanently.

but some are lucky, only got this prblem like once only.

I reset my modem or router once every few days..so far no problem reconnecting back. Almost 1 month using still ok..lucky.

Can I switch off all the components of my UNIFI setup, every night b4 going to sleep and to switch it back on in the morning?
Would this disrupt the setting in these equipment?

Sh@t. Last night i couldnt even connect to internet. Iptv was ok but no internet. Called CS but until 30 mins still no one answered. Wtf?

So i just left it on until at 11pm internet came back but i only got 1 mb speed. B@llsh@t man! paying 149 to get this kind of crap??

Btw my dir615 keep popping this on the log " PAP authentication failed".
Is it congestion on their side because there are more and more subscribers now?

if DIR615 said it correctly, PAP authentication failed is related to username and password. most probably you have hanged session and the radius server think you are trying to do duplicate session.

Am experiencing connection issues as well in Section 5 PJ. Since last 2 days the internet connection light is orange on the D-Link. Tried resetting and unplug but nothing happened. But the light turns back to green on its own after 15-45 mins. Tried calling CS but gave up after being put on hold for 30 freaking mins. Anyone having the same connection issues? Is the D-Link screwed?

Bad luck or what, my unifi which was installed on Sunday went down Tuesday morning. The link LED on the Huawei was off. Called CS and they sent technician over this morning as promised. After inspecting the FTB and signal strength he concluded the contractor did not do a proper job. Something wrong with connector from FTB to internal socket. Apparently this is common occurence since TM started using outside contractors. In the early days TM people only did 1-2 installations a day, now contractors do up to 10. I can agree with him because my first unifi installation in Bangsar done by TM staff has not experienced downtime(except the usual maintenance work) at all. They even climbed up the first floor roofing to do wiring since the DP was on a pole without charge. I believe this is now considered a non standard installation and chargeable.

The problem with UNIFI, if u switch it off and switch it back on, u'll have problems to connect to the internet later. Might as well let it ON for 24 hours.. tongue.gif

Not possible anymore. TM has restructure the installation process. Even if they ammend installers will not get the job order, hence they wont call or turn up for installation.

I believe previously possible.
*
Still very possible.... I did it twice.........

Cos first time they gave me an installer that can't do concealed wiring through the ceiling even though I requested it when on the phone call....
(I saw the job order from my installer, he even told me the report number, contact number, IC number

Second time I call they said no free slot.... (Still possible) and I said about the concealed wiring stuff

Third time I requested the installation (not me actually; call back from TM yesterday after they got kicked by my SKMM report) and they gave me slot two days later (Thursday)(tomorrow)...

Will see how it goes........
