QUOTE(fubs @ Jun 21 2011, 10:00 PM) Just got unifi installed this morning. Got back home from work, rebooted the router and now I can't connect to the internet anymore. Called the helpline, retrieved my account password to reconfigure the router, but still unable to connect to the Internet. Seems like some users are experiencing this problem as well a page back. So I'm wondering, how long does this last? QUOTE(shark7 @ Jun 21 2011, 11:43 PM) im the same as yours but yours is worst I reset my modem or router once every few days..so far no problem reconnecting back. Almost 1 month using still ok..lucky.got unifi installed few months ago,can use on that day but disconnecting sometimes not even a week, internet is down.need to call unfi they fix ,few weeks after that..down it fix .. few weeks later ..down again until now . the problems is the same .i dunno why they still can't fix it permanently. but some are lucky, only got this prblem like once only. QUOTE(mikecmy @ Jun 22 2011, 12:12 AM) received any calls? better call unifi center to confirm..else they never turn up then jialat.normally 2 days or 3 days? i guess if they don't call me by 2pm tmr i'll ring them. maybe a secure for me as i took leave already |

QUOTE(shark7 @ Jun 22 2011, 08:44 PM) if u reset, doesnt that mean u have to change the settings again ?or u mean u off on the plug ?? power off and on modem..of coz not the real reset..else all settings gone..btw my story pulak. until today no unifi came to my house,i ask my dad to confirm it with TM. few mins later TM called me and said that the earliest is tmorrow evening . and i said wtf wtf wtf . i make a report since last week and until now still no one come . i said every bad words and really angry to them i said i want it to be fixed by today .dun make me come to TM centre (where ppl pay bills, etc) and bcome hulk there . then he said today all technician busy.wtf ,is that my prob ? then i said if he dint call me back by 2,then thats it. 20mins later they called me back, and said techincian will come on 2.30 .(that was fast) then i went out with my friend.dunno what happen but my sister was in the house she tell me that the technician came around 2. then he nver touch modem,he just walk in my house,he saw the white modem, and he said" that modem is already broken" he din't check the modem yet. he also said that he just got called by TM to go to my house,he said he dunno whyTM line always busy he said that he dunno whether this problem will come again or not . and im very sure he just acting he dunno eyrthing. liar i think its either the installer dint do his job well or unifi really sucks . QUOTE(aneip @ Jun 22 2011, 08:51 PM) My installer so panic when the modem he bring is lucent modem. He said he never configure 1 before. Only huawei & fiberhome. After wasting 1 hour calling he peer finally found ex staff who know about this modem. wow..i guess the installer didn't go for proper training..Then he friend told him to open the telnet. Guest what, he know nothing about the telnet. So I have to do it myself. Luckily I know about this. If normal user confirm somebody else have to come to configure. Btw, now enjoying my 5mbps line. Hopefully iptv will have great show in future with lower fee per channel so I can cut the Astro off |

QUOTE(owc @ Jul 1 2011, 11:54 AM) I think this new Router more worse then before, it's just outlook stylish inside shit. They should give rebate/discount to users who use their own equipment instead of TM's..hehe.Afterall, TM is still monopoly. what we can do? We do have a choice, 1st. Don't use Unifi? 2nd. Use Unifi with their stupid equipment? 3rd. Use Unifi but use your own equipment? 4th. Compliant a lot, and hope for they provide good router? (Impossible) After all if our router faulty, we won't ask them replace or support. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jul 3 2011, 11:29 AM) Do you think that the main reason TM provides the crap DIR615 with poor wireless coverage so that users do not share them with the neighbours ? haha...the point is it cannot be that poor that even can't cover a house properly..even if u get weak signal, u should still able surf normally without high fluctuations.. more network knowledge u need.. capping is based on amount of bandwidth you use..as long as you reach the capping limit e.g 60GB..ur speed will be capped or throttled..
also, line speed is determined at hardware level i.e at the exchange level..not username.. |

I guess you should refer to klseet's site for possible replacement, certain brand models such as TP-Link and Asus can be used for Unifi..
