QUOTE(tech3910 @ Jun 16 2011, 07:36 PM) was offered but declined. sure enough we get rewarded by being honest. I think one of the reasons why the waiting time became so long is bcos ppl jumping queue after 'minum kopi'. Malaysians nowadays talk a lot about anti corruption but when they actually get the chance |

QUOTE(aneip @ Jun 17 2011, 07:19 AM) When the unifi will call you to confirm online registration + installation date. I register last 2 day and got 21/6 the installation date. Don't depend on these guys to call you, if you are worried then call CS and ask for confirmation of date and note down the name of person you talk to, if possible the contractor's name also. Easier to complain later if anything goes wrong.Just wanna know their SOP so I can follow-up with them.. Don't want on 21/6 I take a leave and nobody came. QUOTE(raimy_m9 @ Jun 17 2011, 09:04 AM) the unifi technical came to my house yesterday to check my connection..the still couldn't figure out what the problem though..today they will come again to test..they said my line is great,..but every 2 minute and a half they connection down/stops..( no respond to their server) so they change the white vdsl to a new one(the black one that look like a router modem to me), but the connection still down after 2 and a half minutes.....sigh...maybe i should ask for a rebate? Sounds like faulty DIR-615. The one in my parents house was DoA and they changed to a new one immediately. Even then I did not trust that router and been using my own. No problems since. |

QUOTE(aneip @ Jun 17 2011, 04:09 PM) My 1st installation sometime Sept 2010, applied thru agent. Abt 3 days later CS called to confirm package, date, preferred VOIP number. A week later installed as promised.2nd installation, applied early last week at TMpoint. Then senyap. Called CS early this week and said installation on 23/8. I wouldn't have known that my application was processed if I did not call them. Yesterday they called again to say coming this Sunday. We shall see. I don't know to conclude if they have an SoP at all. QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Jun 17 2011, 05:09 PM) i'm having the same problem as you buy maybe 10mins in btw only dc since last week. Exactly what happened to me, faulty DIR-65. At least u were able to get a connection.the earth symbol in the router keeps blinking very very quickly. could this be the problem too ? |

A week later installed as promised. Just to update, the contractors came this morning as promised and completed a standard installation in 2 hours. Now itching to get the TP-Link WD890, even logging into the DIR-615 GUI is laggy.2nd installation, applied early last week at TMpoint. Then senyap. Bad luck or what, my unifi which was installed on Sunday went down Tuesday morning. The link LED on the Huawei was off. Called CS and they sent technician over this morning as promised. After inspecting the FTB and signal strength he concluded the contractor did not do a proper job. Something wrong with connector from FTB to internal socket. Apparently this is common occurence since TM started using outside contractors. In the early days TM people only did 1-2 installations a day, now contractors do up to 10. I can agree with him because my first unifi installation in Bangsar done by TM staff has not experienced downtime(except the usual maintenance work) at all. They even climbed up the first floor roofing to do wiring since the DP was on a pole without charge. I believe this is now considered a non standard installation and chargeable.

QUOTE(Aurora Boreali @ Jun 24 2011, 12:55 AM) Does Unifi bill payment through maybank2u work? I tried using the portal in the early days, never worked. Since then I have been paying thru MB2U. You can pay using ur cc thru MB2U instead. Give it 2-3 days and the payment will be in their system and also updated in the coming bill.I have used their occ portal to pay using my credit card before.... and the payment went through, got charged by bank, and the status on the occ portal still remained unpaid!! I had to call them more than 10 times over the course of 1 month to FINALLY get them to acknowledge that I paid and subsequently update the payment history. Since then I've been paying it over TM Point counters. But I've been thinking perhaps paying by maybank2u won't give me the same kind of trouble I ran into with payment via their portal. What's your experience with paying unifi bills via maybank2u? |

Aiyah just because the ASUS N56 so pretty u guys spend all that money, need to flash firmware jugak. IMO the TP-Link W8960N is the best, no need to flash anything. Cheap too. Not everybody needs dual band, not all laptops/PC hv dual band wifi unless you wanna spend more $$$ upgrading. My tp-link opens about 1000+ torrent connections from my NAS 24/7 and doesnt break a sweat, wifi signal probably strong enough to reach the next taman hehe.

QUOTE(stanleychew @ Jul 1 2011, 11:53 AM) Raised 2 enquiries using this method about a month ago, no reply to date.QUOTE(stanleychew @ Jul 1 2011, 05:11 PM) The business model is launch and grab the market first then fix bugs later. No problem with that if customer service is up to par.QUOTE(kencha @ Jul 1 2011, 04:16 PM) sorry, a question here... is it really the TP-Link W8960N modem router can be used to sub for the original TM modem + router setup? better to replace TM router completely. I am happy with the TP-Link W8960N, just follow klseet's guide and your life will be less stressful without the TM router heheh.or it is a better to use a tplink wireless router + TM original modem? i got the whole black set of TM setup, the GUI is confusing n not really useful actually... |
