I think the fibre optics connecting from Fibre box to your home place is longer than 15meter.So extra charges needed.

But the contractor will tell you in advance how much you'll be charged extra right in the first bill? Or are you talking about paying the RM400 straight to the contractor on-the-spot? hmm.gif

My Unifi just got fixed. Technician came today rather than next Monday to fix it.

Apparently my liser box someone go sabotage my copper wire (Im on VDSL btw). Even after put new wiring for me, DSL light still down. They went to the VDSL box at the roadside and totally change a new port for me and its on back. Slow back at least they get the work done. Now I shall be doing the rebate for 5 day losses.

But is kind of over expensive for the charges in my opinion. Now scared to apply UNIFI later contractor charge so high not worth it. Even TM said it's free is all marketing gimmicks.

Free for certain length, and pay for the additional length. I'm not sure how much. Forgot already. I would suggest to register/apply direct through the unifi website.at least the technician sent by TM, is their installation team employees. Not the appointed contractors.

my contractor who came to install my unifi previously said, they charge starting RM300 if need to do wiring at the roof. then i opted as simple installation, free of charge. mine is about 18.8m, they have their own devices to check the lenght of wire.
