I am not a fan of Maybank either but you've got to admit, their Maybankard 2 AMEX really is something

I just received Alain Delon Ball Pen from CIMB Bank. Before I terminate the CIMB CC,I used up the point to claim something that I can claim,end up I choose the pen since I use it everyday. I claim it on 3 days ago and today already reached and CIMB are using NAtionwide Express to just deliver a pen to me ..

HLB also uses NationWide express. Mind you their courier service sometimes can suck big time

Just now the guy very rude. I was on the phone and me also in hurry. I on the phone and of course I cannot sign and pick up the parcel. Then he make noise infront of me. Asked my colleague to help me sign. Bloody young malay punk , come deliver,didn't wear nationwide uniform and talk on the phone when I was also on the phone. What kind of service is this !

I did not ask anyone to be my jury and in fact we are adult, we knew how to define good and bad things.
I am not intended to offense anyone and i'm here to share my experience.
I thought to share my bad experience and hope to help other ppl who is same situation as me. (which is no way to revert to Platinum and ask for CL increase to CS)
Of course I was expressed some dissatisfaction but it is only my own opinion.

Besides you not wanting the card you want and also people reporting that they were issued AMEX Gold CC instead of Maybankard 2 Cards.

If you had read my post in my blog, I have informed all that my application was being process for MBB Dua Gold when I wanted Plat. Luckily I followed up on my application.

To those going to apply for credit cards with MBB, my advise is to follow up on your application 3 days after you apply and not more than 7 days to check what is in MBB's system. Call Amex 1800-88-9559 and tell them "I have applied for the MBB Dua, can you please check my application status i.e. is my application being process and if yes when it started and secondly what card is being process. Good to be kiasu.

Thanks for your advise Gen-X. In fact, I faxed my document on Monday night, i received SMS about application approved on yesterday night. It is only 3 working days
I have to admit that their CC processing is REALLY FAST

Maybank REALLY has to increase their number of CS manning the phonelines at 1800881801. I have been trying for 30 minutes and it's always PLEASE HOLD THE LINE / PLEASE CALL BACK LATER. Can you imagine if I want to report a lost card? A lot could have happened in that 30 minutes !!!

If not yet, go open a Basic Savings Account and get a free ATM card. Then register M2U.
Then go to Maybankard Dua facebook and click I'm interested
Perhaps no need to wait 6 months

it depends on the traffic when you're calling. I called during my lunch break (...which I assume is the high traffic call period) but yet I got in touch with the CS Exec within 2-3mins....

yes, did receive their call and reapply, dont know this time is successful or not

Hope I can do the same with OCBC as well. Open an Savings Acct with them. Dump say a 5 figure amount into the account and then apply for their Titanium MC....to compensate on my unsuccessful application for their card. Wonder if this might work.

haha... seriously, i am attracted by AMEX 5x treat points it is already 2.5% points.
I traveled to US, so acceptance of AMEX is not a problem for me
Previously i'm using Citi Cashback platinum, but for other retail transaction on 0.3%
Hence, this is why i'm going back to MBB, even though i had bad experience with it but i have take care of my wallet too

You do realised that Amex has the highest exchange rate, right? At the end of the day, the 2.5% does not really help, unless you are spending locally

Just click I'm interested at Maybank 2 card page. 5x treat points is really something to catch!!
