what i mean is rm50 cashback for the card / rm50 credited back in the card statement, not a voucher with value of rm50 sweat.gif

like hsbc, 12.5k points can get rm50. hsbc rewards - look at C302 / C304

previously i redeem rm300 (75k points). hsbc offer 3x points if swipe oversea.

amex, 10k points can get rm50 back. amex rewards - the example is 100k points for rm500.

amex gold offer 5x points if swipe at selected place such as groceries & petrol.

while DA can pay with points at certain shop - 10k points for rm50 - Pay with Points - min purchase rm25 (5k points).

so, do mbb dont have this kind of rewards?  hmm.gif

MBB does not have cash redemption at the moment. SCB also have cash to be redeemed. You can use 5,000 points to redeem RM25 cash back. It's better than voucher redemption, where you need approximately 12,000 points to redeem a RM50 shopping voucher.

But MBB has on-the-spot redemption for items/vouchers at participating partners.

Yes. Because of these (see below), it led me to think that you guys were talking about RM50 cash voucher.

esso-Mobil smiles reward points program offer the best return in town!
For example, 3*RM10 vouchers can be redeemed with just 3,600 pts. That means 0.833% cashback. Of course, the most worthy item of all time is RM15 fuel for 1,000 pts, which implies 1.5% cashback.

Many people are not aware of this and keep on supporting BonusLink by pumping Shell fuel which pts is given on "per litre" basis. I think only Parkson loyal shoppers would love BonusLink because Parkson got 10X points promo.

Those who travel abroad often, I highly recommend Maybank credit cards. There are times when the conversion rate is even cheaper compared to money changer! Maybank credit cards saved me a lot of money during my travels so far.

Another problem with ESSO/Mobil is that there aren't many ESSO/Mobil stations around. Not to mention many ESSO/Mobil do not operate round the clock sad.gif

I think the management is aware of this, as I saw advertisement of ExxonMobil trying to attract potential station operators and hence maintain (if not increase) market share.

the point now is, normal mbb card offer rm1 = 1 points only, except petronas 5x, or while promo only, example petronas 10x on tuesday.

while amex gold always give 5x when swipe at groceries, petrol (all station), participating bookstores , and telco bills.
other transaction will always get 2x points.

so, to get 10k points, maybank need to swipe rm10k normally.
while amex gold need to swipe only rm2k or at least, rm5k smile.gif

ok u said "one more year to go" before ur card expired.

my "less than a year" means b4 need to pay for the gst.

my card expiry this year, and this year also gst start charging.
so i use the reason dont want to renew bcoz dont want to pay gst.

try to cancel ur card on 2011 to get free gst waiver brows.gif
