QUOTE(ben83 @ Dec 10 2010, 10:57 PM) Income requirement for SCB Platinum as well Business Platinum is one of the lowest among all the Platinum series in Malaysia. However, SCB Business Platinum is one of the best Platinum cards in terms of benefits given. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 10 2010, 11:38 PM) A special feature of SCB Business Visa Platinum is that it gives 0.5% cash back (without cash back limit per month or per year) for all retail transactions (except petrol) plus 1x choice point for local spending and 3x choice points for overseas spending. You can redeem RM25 cash back using 5,000 choice points. This is equivalent to 1% cash back for local spending and 2% cash back for overseas spending. This card is good as a backup for big purchases or when you have maximised up the monthly cash back limit for other cards which give more than 1% cash back. SCB Business Visa Platinum cardholders are also entitled to all benefits given to normal SCB Platinum cc, such 3x choice points for overseas transactions, unlimited free access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge, 50% discount when dining at Platinum Partners, complementary travel accident insurance of up to RM1mil, etc. Just a reminder that Citibank Cash Back Platinum does not give complementary travel accident insurance unlike what a normal Citiback Platinum cc does. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 11 2010, 01:50 PM) That's it... Going to convert my SCB Platinum Visa to SCB Business Visa Platinum.... let's hope can waive the GST :-) SCB's cash back system is the best, as it states clearly cash back details for every single transaction. Normally the cash back details can be viewed online 3 days after the transaction is made.Is the 0.5% cash back creditted at the end of the statement date monthly ? The RM25 Cash-back is upon request, right ? Are the Choicepoints evergreen ? You can redeem RM25 cash by using your 5,000 choice points upon request, and the cash will be credited in your account within a week. I normally utilise the choice points earned from my JustOne cc to redeem cash, as the choice points will be expired every 3 years. Prior to the anniversary of my SCB WMC, I will convert the card to SCB Business Visa Platinum. SCB WMC's benefit really sucks! |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 12 2010, 01:19 AM) Hopefully SCB will extend the RM188 cash back promotion. But this RM188 cash will only given to new card upon approval. So I may have to apply for the new card first and thereafter cancel the WMC.Added on December 12, 2010, 6:35 am QUOTE(uhlaw @ Dec 12 2010, 03:07 AM) That's very cunning of HLB, forever and always! This post has been edited by winner: Dec 12 2010, 06:35 AM |

QUOTE(firee818 @ Dec 12 2010, 08:59 AM) Yesterday, I go to shopping and met the Standard Chartered Bank credit card promoters:- Standard Chartered Bank Business Platinum Visa Card, On successful application and cash of RM 188.00 to your account less GST RM 50.00 and net received = RM 138.00. Any purchase rebate 0.50% and each RM 1.00 consumed get one point. Annual fee waive for first 2 years and subsequent years waive on call up. Oversea purchase RM 1.00 get 3 points. Airasia's ticket get travel insurance up to RM1 million. Worth to apply, anyone can advice? Yes, SCB Business VISA Platinum is one of the best Platinum cards in the market. This card offers many other benefits. I have already highlighted these in one of my previous postings. QUOTE(fireZzkf @ Dec 12 2010, 10:02 AM) I have swiped my CCs for transactions less than RM10 at Parkson, Jusco, Sogo, Isetan and Coffee Bean. I won't use cash so long as the merchants accept payment via CCs regardless of whatever amount. However, most of the smaller merchants only accept CCs for a specific amount spent. QUOTE(jensen_tidus @ Dec 12 2010, 10:22 AM) I can't find the list of OCBC 5% discount list in this new V13. Today i got my statement, just wanted to inform everyone that JUSCO Supermarket at 1U do not entitled for 5%, instead i got 1% from it. SESB (for who is from sabah), the 5% is there We have discussed this many times here. Many forummers here did not get 5% cash back for purchases at Jusco. SESB falls under utility bill category, thus giving you 5% cash back. This post has been edited by winner: Dec 12 2010, 10:51 AM |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Dec 12 2010, 10:24 AM) yah, noticed that vanderbilt and rockefeller postings are similar (always mentioning enrich points) and both also rich. rockefeller has MBB WMC and vanderbilt dad has RM300K CL for CIMB Enrich card. But the funny thing is vanderbilt started a thread asking where can "cash" out from merchant in KL or something like that The funniest thing is that vanderbilt answered rockefeller's postings and vice versa. |

QUOTE(lamode @ Dec 12 2010, 05:38 PM) CIMB can give a high CL but no free points or cash back to offset the service tax. You may try applying for SCB Gold cc, and get RM88 cash back. However, there is no guarantee to receive a higher CL as your current CL is already 3x your monthly salary. |

Which outlet did you purchase your stuffs? My purchases at Jusco supermarket IOI Mall a few months ago did not give me 5x MR points. |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 12 2010, 07:17 PM) Most point-based cards let you redeem RM50 cash voucher using 10,000 pts. That is actually equivalent to 0.5% cashback. Dont you agree? Most banks have increased points requirement for RM50 cash voucher to around 11,000-12,500 points. Only CIMB still maintains low points requirement. That's why I would rather redeem cash back (RM25 for 5,000 points) than the stupid vouchers for my SCB cc.This post has been edited by winner: Dec 12 2010, 07:43 PM |

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Dec 12 2010, 09:39 PM) according to the tnc #3a: 3. The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in this Promotion:- a. Existing Cardholders applying for additional principal and/or supplementary cards; b. Existing Cardholders closing their existing SCBMB principal credit cards and re-applying for SCBMB’s principal credit cards; QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 12 2010, 11:00 PM) @winner: Let me know if you get the RM188 cash back, then I will also apply the SCB Business Visa Platinum ;-) It's my Preferred Banking RM and CS officer who told me that I could get RM188 if I apply for SCB Business Visa Platinum. They also told me that SCB has just changed the cash back rules, whereby the RM188 cash will only be credited to the cardholder's account upon first usage, not upon card approval. I will however, take it with a pinch of salt. |

I have just viewed the latest statement of my OCBC Titanium MC. No surprises this time. All my expenses at petrol stations, restaurants, hypermarkets and utility bills were given 5% cash back.
On a separate note, I received a call from CIMB Group asking me why I had not swiped my DA VI since I obtained the card in August. I highlighted to them the cash back rates are not attractive and I would only use this card for the 0% interest BT. The CS officer revealed that the bank was gathering feedback from customers and might review the cash back system in due course. |

QUOTE(Phelddagriff @ Dec 13 2010, 04:59 PM) That's interesting. Spending at Jusco supermarket in One Utama is entitled to 5x MR points for Amex Gold cc and 5% cash back for OCBC Titanium, as opposed to 2x MR points and 1% cash back at other Jusco supermarket outlets. |
