Another problem with ESSO/Mobil is that there aren't many ESSO/Mobil stations around. Not to mention many ESSO/Mobil do not operate round the clock  sad.gif

One advantage of Esso/Mobil is that their contest participation only requires swiping the Smiles card and do not require form-filling unlike Shell, Petronas, etc.

n00b question, why do some people go for high income cards like plat etc? you have to pay annual fees. sure you get some extra benefits, but how much would you have to spend monthly to recoup the annual fees paid?

mind sharing some example where plat and above card is more worth it than the basic free for life card?

if you there's a PBB branch near where you are, just go to the branch with your CC statement or Credit Card and they will do the rest (i.e. photocopy you card and IC).

Just got another invitation today by MBB on the pre-approved World Mastercard (after getting another offer on the AMEX Plat charge card last week), but same deal that the RM 1k annual fee is a must to pay but in return rewarded 50k treat miles upon issuance. Really in a big dilemma whether which one to take, as taking both cards will be too much of annual fees to pay.

Can't you insist on not paying the annual fee ?? 1k for annual fee sure is damn a lot .

But on the other hands , what can you do with the treat miles they give you ?

Pending their reply right now on the treat miles use for exchange. The annual fee is a definite non-waiveable.
