agree lor...

bkt is chu thou thong in msia... minus the belly but with the meat... pepper soup

kuey chap... havent tried... dont fancy it

their white wan tan mee is not bad leh...
*
they shouldn'tcall it bkt, cos it's actually chu tou tong = pork belly soup

i dun think is SG got BKt in fact (meat bone tea) at all, cos they dun have herbs (aka, cha = tea)

CKT in bedok block 16 is not bad, comparable to Msiain general, but still not as good as Penang in particular. definitely no tomato sauce, no sugar, no funny stuff.

kuey chap until now never tried. btw, got kuey chap in KL? or its only in SG?

food here not bad, just diff from Msia

Wanton Noodle in Singapore is the most awful I have ever tasted. It's beyond my comprehension when I see people queuing to place order. The pungent smell....like detergent or a bleach agent.
*
i found a few same standard as KL... there's one at ABC market... only $2 per serving summore... biggrin.gif

I have not found an edible chee cheong fun in Singapore yet. Not counting the HK cheong fun at Crystal Jade, Imperial Treasure etc.
*
Hmmm, found quite a few hawkers selling HK style chee cheong fun ah.... biggrin.gif

but haevn't found any selling - old school chee cheong fun with kari... rclxms.gif

Have you tried the bak kut teh in Balestier ? I think it really taste more like pepper soup. Any bak kut teh shop in Jb taste better than that. But still i go back there hahaha. Also have u notice the hawkers here like to put a lot of black sauce . I notice they have alot of that sweet black sauce in to their chay koay teow . I dont think it even looked right to begin with.
*
my 1st time trying their bkt is there... its pepper soup, but they call it bkt

char koay teow is aweful lor.... the best u can find is penang place at ibp j.east

I have tried a BKT at fusionopolis, i wouldn't say its anywhere near fantastic, but i think not too bad for a food court in office area.

Speaking of maggi goreng, just recently found a pretty good one (compared to other sg maggi goreng of course) in bishan st 11, near the wet market next to braddell road.

I miss the old school ccf with curry though, no idea why they dont have those here :S

Maybe they have an Ops after the holidays.

When I flew into the Budget Terminal on Monday evening, all passengers from incoming flights had to go through the metal scanner and their luggage x-rayed.
