QUOTE(crapp0 @ Dec 17 2010, 09:00 AM) No they cant guarantee that, i have met houseowners who will raise the rental rate arbitrarily with the excuse that they they didnt expect you to use alot of electricity or do alot of washing. Plus the houseowner will "use" the agent to convince you to let the house owner raise the rental. as u say try to convince since u hav the tenancy agreement normally valid for 1y u can jus refuse to pay.usually many ppl dont wanna get into the hassle n jus pay them off which normally is 20-50 dollars xtra wifout the agent u can be kicked out of the place anytime + make sure the rooms/units u rent are approved HDB units. some owners tend to rent out non approved ones in the end is the tenants who suffer |

QUOTE(kl87 @ Feb 9 2011, 11:42 AM) yup , i did mentioned about washington accord too ~ tats y depend on industry n type of degree. if u r in the construction industry u wan to get your PE u need a sg recognized degree which is in the list given. if u hav an electronics degree yet u r a applying to b an electrical PE even though u grad from Cambridge your degree is still not recognized n u hav to do extra work in order to obtain your PE. u can see what reply by others at the below what MOM checks is only if u hav a valid degree from a valid uni recognize o not is not their call on 2nd thought y is he asking tat? issit becos he wans to know if ur degree can apply for EP? or issit becos the job requires it to be recognize? if for ep majority of the msian unis are valid, job wise is subjective to industry, course taken, etc This post has been edited by nicvoo: Feb 9 2011, 04:26 PM |

QUOTE(seantang @ Mar 10 2011, 10:47 AM) Errr... no. If I'm not mistaken, your view is that somehow hirers will take the time and effort to perceive differences in the 'quality' of 5 months experience from different candidates. i agree with sean 5m is not even enuf time to warm the seat. unless the project is a 5m project i doubt a freshie will be able to learn much during 5m. in some industries even if u hav 1 - 1.5y xp is still considered fresh. My view is that they will just assume 5 months equals to zero. And in 99.9% of the cases, they'd be making the right assumption (not much margin of error for 'depends', really). |

Added on March 20, 2011, 10:34 pm I think you'll have better luck finding futsal players or field hockey since i noticed alot of school going children play those games. |

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Mar 21 2011, 09:54 AM) Dont know why their doing this since harborfront seems way more equipped then marina south which mainly caters for boats which make trips to singapore anchorage. to accommodate bigger larger cruise liners. the harbour front one will still serve the near by islands. |
