No need to wait 6 month. My first application to OCBC also being rejected. My salary is above the requirement. So I write official letter to OCBC to appeal. Now approved already thumbup.gif

Well congrats, looks like OCBC not that "strict". I have read here that many people got rejected when applying for OCBC Titanum. Well guess it makes it kind of exclusive card  sweat.gif

Not sure why so many got rejected by OCBC. I've introduced the card to quite a few friends of mine, and all of them got approval within one week, even faster than me (which took 2 weeks).

Just normally what you guys are ranting in LYN. The difference is I show my dissatisfaction of the rejection formally. I also demand to know the reason of rejection if the appeal is not approve bcoz as far as im concern i do not have any problem with any bank whatsoever

4. Standard financial charge (interest rate)
Tier 1 > 13.5% p.a.
Tier 2 > 16% p.a.
Tier 3 > 17.5% p.a.

Cash advance: 18% p.a from the date of withdrawal.
Late payment: 1% of outstanding or RM 5 whichever is higher.
Minimum payment amount: 5% of outstanding or RM 25/RM 50 whichever is higher.

1.What does tier 1,2,3 mean?

2. Cash advance: 18% p.a from the date of withdrawal. Date of withdrawal meaning the interest rate starts from the day we purchase something?

is interest rate calculated right after you make a purchase or a interest-free period is given?

no, if for retail transaction, you will get 20 days interest free until at your card statement date provided only if you have settled all outstanding balance of previous month.

For cash advances, Interest is calculated on daily basis until you fully settle the amount of cash advance

with that kind of spending, almost all cards will waive your annual fees.

Just a note, if you do settle all outstanding payments in full and spend at merchants that accept AMEX, you should consider getting AMEX Plat CC where you get 2X, 5X and 10X reward points or next year if AMEX do extend Turbo Points Program (usually in March/April) get AMEX Charge Card and get minimum 3X reward points.
