anyone has experienced 4 weeks of processing for their OCBC Titanium? I missed two calls from private number this and last week, not sure whether it is from OCBC.

not sure whether I need to follow up or just wait and see
*
I would advise you to quickly call 1300885000 to inquire what's going on.
My sister also missed one private call last week. She has been complaining on the PENDING status, until today she called back to Call Centre and was told that the previous call was to verify some details in the application form. After the conversation and verification, the Officer told that application status will be known in 2 days' time.

I am very surprised to learn that your spending at Carrefour Tropicana City was only entitled to 1% cash back. You should make a complaint to OCBC. They might have calculated the rebate wrongly.
*
IMHO, OCBC should not be liable for the inappropriate MCC code assigned to Carrefour. This has been mentioned in the T&C. I don't think OCBC will entertain this kind of complaints.

Ya, maybe can ask them what MCC for C4 Tropicana is.
*
Agree!
We cannot blame OCBC for not giving 5% rebate. It is not the bank's fault anyway. But we can ask the bank what mcc code Carrefour is using.

One thing i hate is, "fax to us" how many customer got use fax. Seem like they reluctant to use email.
*
In fact they do accept application through email. I have no idea why the bank does not want to disclose such method.

I got a question on Public Bank Platinum card Rm60 cash back promotion, is it worth it say to cancel my HLB Platinum to cross over? I see many contests offer by Public Bank compared to HLB cc.

Does PB have toll free number for it's cc services?

Thanks.
*
Read the TnC carefully, the cash back is not guaranteed for everyone but only first 3000 cardmembers.
PBB card services hotline: 603-2176 8000. Obviously it's not a toll free line.

which bank offer that high limit for a fresh graduate?
*
DirectAccess cards are recommended for fresh grads.
If I recall correctly, my first DA card CL was already 12k. However, despite higher-than-average CL, I didn't need that much credit though.

That is the problem, i am not sure why the give the 5k limit. Even my Company current account is with them so they know about everything.
*
Could it be caused by heavy credit burden in your CCRIS profile?
How much car loan/home loan are you taking?

currently i am taking a shop loan around 400k. Could this be the reason?

this won't affect much if this is your only loan, since your income can cope with monthly installment easily.

Guys, I did a grocery shopping at Billion a few days ago, after that I checked on OCBC Online and found that transaction's description was "Billion Shopping Centre", which is not in the 5% rebate category.

The lesson is, even though the transaction is made at Supermarket, the card terminal may be under MCC code of Shopping Centre or complex. Of course, I think not every Billion is categorized as Shopping Centre, because some are purely supermarkets indeed.

Just remind you all.

Billion is just like Jusco. It is a supermarket or departmental store. To be safe, you would better to shop at bigger hypermarket chain like Giant and Tesco in order to get the 5% rebate guarantee.
*
My hometown doesn't have any hypermarkets. The biggest supermarket here is Econsave sweat.gif
But Econsave requires at least RM80 only can swipe. vmad.gif

What? you cant compare 99Speedmart with Jusco sweat.gif
Speedmart is definitely a supermarket, of course entitled to 5% rebate by OCBC Ti.

It is a common physchology that humans feel uncomfortable when other ppl also possess something that they think only they are deserved.

Anybody used CIMBClicks to pay their CIMB/DA Credit Card bills ?
Must the CIMBClicks account be linked to a Savings/Current account ?

1. I am one.
2. Not necessarily. You can log in to CIMB Clicks even though you have only CIMB credit card.

hi guys,

today i apply for citibank platinum cash back, but i guess i wont be able to get it as i can't meet the requirement, so I'll be getting shell gold card instead.

do any of u using citibank shell gold credit card? can share what are the benefits of the card?

thx.
*
For card user who makes full payment each month, they earn 2.5% cashback on Shell purchase, 0.75% on non-Shell transactions.

Why are u asking this question as the answer can be found at Citibank's website?

I am lazy to read HSBC promotion any more. they have too many condition and hard to get.
*
The cashback offered by Public Bank cards is also not easy to get and not guaranteed.

There is always a condition saying that the total cashback is limited to RMXXXXX, or, limited to the first XXXX eligible cardmembers. Quite a few of my friends who are using PB cards are pissed off when talking about PB rebates.

Which is more cost-effective to pay your CC bills :-
A. via Interbank Giro (IBG) thru online banking
B. through cheque deposit machine ?
*
It depends.
If the issuer bank is in vicinity, a cheque deposit costs you only RM0.15 stamp duty. If you don't wish to walk or drive, then IBG/online payment is the best solution. Common IBG charge ranges between RM0.50 and RM2.00, depending on the type of account. Some banks offer zero IBG charge for the first few trxn, some for unlimited trxn, but the T&C of the ZERO CHARGE is not easy to comply.
